I'm posting this so it will show up in a search. There are many options for small 16 inch fiberglass seats out there, but for a comfy large seat that is great for cruising the river the options can be limited. Through a little search I was able to find what I wanted and the builder can have them made in a week or so for a decent price. They can also be made to order.

There are also some pre made options, like a Kirkey vintage bucket. Available in 15-18.5 in widths.
Or you can cut down one of their other high back aluminum seats. These run between $150-$200.

Yep, just such a seat may be in one of the roadsters. I do like the ability to do custom locally, never know when your in a pinch.

I just don't like the looks of the kirkey when they are upholstered. Also, the largest they go is 18 inches. I had these made at 22 inches so they can have a lot of cushion on the inside for a comfortable fit. I will follow up with pictures. My interior guy will have them done next week.

That is a great point. You need to go extra wide if you want lots of padding in the seat.

The Kirkey Pro Street Drag seat is high back, but does come in a 20 inch width. If cut down it would have the profile needed. I have a 17” wide in my race car passenger seat.
