This is a montage of my travels in Parker. We decided to make the journey on foot to foxes from castle rock. It was a good choice too, as I don’t remember the walk back to the trailer. I have a pretty good bruise on my left butt cheek, evidently I fell down the stairs getting into the trailer.

Yes, we walked a bit down the highway, and made a pit stop at Sundance. I found several “treasures “ on the side of the road. One was a brand new fannypack/insulated beer cooler, that could be mounted on the handle bars of a motorcycle. Also a rake, and a sun hat. I figure I could start a yard clean up business. And have my refreshments on my hip while I work. As it turns out, I fell down the stairs, not trying to leave or enter the trailer, I was walking past the door, and had an unscheduled egress as my wife described it.

EC bar everything on the food menu doubled in price. A can of Coors light is $5 and members are protesting.

The $13 steak was the toughest $2 steak I ever ate.

The 2 days free camping is bringing in those that wash their clothes in the jacuzzis and have to be kicked out.

No more volunteers workers, everyone is an employee.

Lillys in Parker keeps getting better.

New cell tower near Emerald Cove on the Az side.
5g.
Chrome works excellent - Safari fussy, for us.

More burros on the roads and park than we’ve ever experienced.

Desert Bars last weekend for the season. We’ll head up around 1.

A lot of us got in here early and cheap decades ago with annual dues just a few hundred bucks and increases limited by the BLM.

CRA may be using other methods to claw a few extra bucks outta us.

May still be able to take your own canned beer to the the bar unless they activate the full Whisky license.

One guy yesterday went apeshit and didn’t back down. The bar employees have a rehearsed response routine.

Other campgrounds are running free shuttles to their $2 beer/$3 shots bars and everyone is taking advantage of that.

Security used to drive around at nite bust those that poach the cable TV, now they bust those charging EVs.

Desert bar is slammed - long lines for everything.
Kenny thought it would be slow, upper bar not open.

Sit with me at the bar,, no waiting.
Knowing RD has its perks.
Not RiverDave today at Kenny’s, it’s *Kama’aina’ Dave.

*kamaaina AKAlocals only.

Emerald works well for the Merrills. Were in it for about 1/2 of what they get for a membership nowadays.
We've learned not to expect to much and as Ross said with the volunteer stuff tossed everything is more expensive in there.

Emeralds food and booze (agave based) is loosing its flair based on price. The half pitcher prices is a calm in the price storm during happy hr. and they have 805 on the draw. Makes me happy.

We are there 5 days a month all winter boating, shooting, off-roading away the job stress. Wetsuits and all, don't care. Always in a Dog friendly cottage. No mas RV's for this guy. $69 a night now is still pretty cheap IMO.

We were at Cienega Springs shooting watching the line roll past last Saturday. The thick dust had me thinking the novelty of that bar has worn off.

We take the Can Ams dripping with dogs and moms to the desert bar.

The route up to Kennies and the surrounding trails are fun, not so much the bar.
Even found a spot we get turquoise.

Just nice to have an off-roading destination, then back to camp, then to

Angelina's Italian Kitchen or Cha Bones.
