I have one mounted to my wall where i Park my buggy, used to go through an Optima a year this one three years later still perfect. Mounted the hardwire part to battery then ziptied the end barely poking out of hood. These are great

Yes, they are good chargers. I have a few of them and dont need this one.

Ive always used Battery Tender brand, are these a better route?

I’ve got the same one here in escondido but have 4/5 battery tenders brand and just bought the orange black and decker one from depot in Havasu.

I use em on everything and still seem to buy a couple batteries every year. I figure it’s cheap insurance!

Thinking about it I bought my Ctec at American battery and it was over $100 bucks so that’s a good deal! Hard wire it to a battery and it’s a quick easy deal!

The CTeK is actually considered a smart charger. Best is it has a true AGM setting. Never had much luck with the battery tender brand this one i love, contemplating to buy for my truck as it never gets driven.

Ok not to high jack the thread but.....

Tonight my wife goes to leave work and her car won’t start.... hey just give AAA and call and have it towed or jumped- wrong!
She is parked in a parking garage and they can’t get a Roll off inside because of the clearance ht. Jump pack doesn’t work...
So I go buy a new battery interstate $168.00 at 6:15 tonight drive down to down town San Diego (40 minutes 1 way) and install a new battery
Get her up and rollling and then drive back home!

So I think I jinxed my self earlier

Her battery is less than 2 yrs old and OEM exide and I hope to get it replaced under warranty tomorrow

Batteries always seems to be hit or miss when it comes to how long they last. I've had one last only a year.
