I’m going down the rabbit hole on this crf110 with all the options... I don’t have a clue about dirt bikes and quads. I can ride a quad in the small dunes and we found out quickly that the crf110 goes nowhere in the sand, just around camp. We got it to drive around with the kids.

Our friend just finished a big wheel kit on their 110 and it was at camp. Robert really wanted me to try it, but I also knew if I liked it, I’d want it. Maybe that was his plan. I loved it and ordered the big wheel kit for it. His other friend was fixing my quad and made a joke that he’s surprised I haven’t customized it yet. He showed me a website that you can basically do whatever color combo you want on the 110 and the quads. I never knew or cared that there were accessories for it.

I am trying to have some impulse control and investing in stocks so I don’t waste money on it. But, that’s not fun! We are picking up the boat this Saturday after all the work that has been done. I can vent to you guys since I know some of you will understand the “itch” My girlfriends will think I’m crazy. I really want a black widow theme crf110.

Some pictures I have liked.

I never tried a big wheel kit on a mini bike. But I imagine it has to soak up some of the power. I would also look at engine upgrades, wink wink.

How much was the big wheel kit and where did you get it?

Those are badass!

It was $2400 with a $700 off coupon. They have a “raffle spin” on the front page to get a promo code.

We did the 110 thing last year and it was a lot of fun. Then we made the mistake of getting a kx85 two stroke, O my gosh that is so much more fun!!!!!! It has suspension and enough power to ride places but is still small and easy to just play around with. I sold the Kawi to my kid (he was stealing it all the time anyway😁) I just picked up a CR85 to have some fun with. Kept the 110's for the grand kids. I agree with 69hondo the little bikes are a blast and easy to get hurt.

That looks like a blast.
Screwing around on little bike is some of the most fun and seems to be when I get the most hurt 😆 😆 🤷‍♂️

I always wear a helmet even riding to the kid dunes. I know most don’t. Usually the fun little runs are when someone gets hurt. I will tell Robert he better not hurt his hand or arm because he needs that to pay for it! 😂

Spin the wheel! I held off.

I think I would get a new Honda if I decided to build 1. I got the Kids a Kawi and a Honda 110. Not sure I would invest that much into the used bikes though.

I know more people, myself included who have messed them selves up pit bikes screwing around camp than on big bikes on the track or open desert. its tough to remember its not a toy and will mess you up. with that said, I want one too.

I've got rods, plates and screws in both legs thanks to pit bikes. I got deep into them in the early 2000s.

lol! I have a bad ass 110 that’s built to the moon, it’s a ton of fun. I have never seen the big tire kit, I’d have to ride one first before I spent the money but it looks like fun.

PSA- try not to loop out with sandals on. It fucking hurts!

Is there usually a few beers leading up to getting hurt or is it just running out of talent/ misjudging something?

I’m just going to follow the little kids around the small dunes. Now I feel scared haha.

In my experience its been caused from being over confident on a bike that was built for child and modified to work for adults....lol...

Yes and yes in mine and my friends case. We normally rode 250’s all day ate dinner and started drinking and then someone would yell night ride!! None of our big bikes had lights, but for some dumbass reason all of our pit bikes had headlights. So a combination of alcohol and lack of talent.

Love my daughters 110! I ride it around camp all the time. If it was mine the only thing I’d do is full size bars and stiffer springs. It’s already got bigger GYTR foot pegs. I like it quite easier to sneak off on at night just ripping around with a headlamp on my “helmet”! By the time the wife realizes it’s too late!

You can buy a new bike from them and have it built for you. I wish we went that route, but didn’t really know

Having also been the recipient of multiple mini bike scars, my thought is that it's because you're closer to the ground and have less time to react.

It is more cost effective to let them build it. With every option I was off. Not 12k. Unless you ad tax and shipping. But that's every option. Best of the best.

Bingo, layer in 1/8 - 1/3 of the suspension of a big bike your body absorbs the hit. First leg was missing a peg and driving my foot into the ground… gernaded my ankle but was wearing tennis shoes. Second leg foot got caught under the bike in a corner and spiral fractured my tib/fib, had boots on. Wearing fill size boots can save a lot of the smaller crashes but once you put a 19hp motor in a bike designed for a 5 year old bad shit happens fast (see white CRF50 above).

The big wheel kit should be here in about a week or so. Graphics kit is ordered, hoping to have it put together by the next Glamis trip in a few weeks. Not sure if I should ride it with hockey pads with some of stories I’m reading!

My son got a couple for Christmas for him and his girlfriends kid. After ripping them around all day on Christmas I was sold and had to have one for myself. I'm 52 and 200+ lbs and will probably hurt myself bad, but damn they are fun. I already looped it and went down pretty hard doing willies on the second day. Here is a pick of my new toy and yes, it has the BBR springs for my heavy ass.
