Crazy work dreams!? Ugh. So. who else has them? Tile guy Production SFH, union. I was talking with fellow Tilesetter Matt from Parker yesterday, so this is all his fault. 🤣 I did have a good helper though! "Mud!!"

I'm tired. From floating a huge Master tub/shower combo, over a decent scratch, and we were dominating. At least my Ex Wife didn't show up. 🤣 I bailed out, woke up tapped out, wore out. I am getting better, even in REM sleep if she shows up I can tap out and wake up. She may have been on the way, but I think In the back of my brain I was saying, "Dude. WTF are you doing? Enough of this floating ginormous Master Baths, 2 counties over. Have you not had enough of this shit?"

Full disclosure. I do have prios. I have been floating in my sleep before, lotsa times! I guess I'd be reaching out for more mud off the board with my Hawk hand, and smack her right in the head while She was sleeping.. She'd wake up," WTF!!" Look at me watch me, "Oh, FFS," and then just tuck my arms in tight under the blankies. She chew my ass the next day. That's love... 🤣
Keep in mind, this is all while wearing a full Fighter Pilot CPAP face mask. Sexy!!

It could be worse. I am sore. But I could've been dreaming I was a Roughneck on a drill floor tripping pipe all night..

lol I haven’t in a while but i used to hang drywall in my sleep. My wife would catch fists and elbows when I would violently turn. I swear I used to wake up tired from working in my sleep all night 😂

Rarely about work while I was working. Retired 3 years..
Work dreams were after major events.
The Willy Woods shooting in my complex..
When a coworker fell off a truck and his nose burst like a tomatoe.
Watching a lady get hit by a car and die with a purple forehead.
Just major events.
I did change a water pump on the wife's forehead once around 2 am.

Have them all the time, more so at my last job which was what I would consider high stress, a lot of time I would be stuck in the half asleep half coherent realm thinking of all this shit I need to get done.

Last night I head a dream I was unemployed so I was just driving around and ended up at Lowe’s lol.

I normally don’t have them. Had a couple bad ones during last week’s vacation. SOB. Hell of a way to wake up.

I've been out of college for 37 years, and still have nightmares from time to time - like showing up for a class and them passing out a mid-term that I didn't know about or study for, or finding out that I was signed up for a class that I never attended, and won't be able to graduate.

I have bouts of insomnia where I can't disengage from work. Makes me look forward to retirement.

I have work "dreams" almost nightly... Always stress related, machine issues, delivery issues, etc. I get interupted sleep most nights. Sometimes I am talking or yelling in my sleep. My GF tells me about it in the morning. Sucks!

I retired three years ago from a thirty four year job in aerospace doing high tech heat treating. Very involved high production heat transfer stuff for everything that flies. Have these weird ass dreams where I'm swamped with work and all kinds of crazy shit. I usually realize hey I'm retired! Fuck this ! And then I wake up.

I mostly just lay awake going through the orders that came in after 4:30 trying to make sure I have it all in stock to ship in the morning….and if I don’t, figuring where I can source the shit in a hurry.

It sucks.

I very rarely have "dreams". When I do, they are nightmares usually. Honestly, the work related ones aren't usually that bad. Wake up, panicked that a roof isn't dried in...and realize that roof was 15 years ago, or trying to remember if all the head studs got torqued after that phone call:oops:

The other stuff, that's the stuff that will haunt me. Dreams of 120 degree heat while blasting a kettle...actually quite welcome in comparison.

I get told all the time about when I'm tying rebar in my sleep, same motion over and over.

I have a ton of work dreams, it's not fun that it happens, but it tells me that I care about what I do.

Had one just this week. Had to get out of bed at 2am and check my outgoing emails to make sure it wasn't true. Ugh.

One stands out.
Busy week with the wrecker, 2:30 am DUI call. Like it was in fast forward.
Next morning, checked the truck, and there's paperwork filled out and a DPS tow report. At the yard, a red third gen 85ish Camero.
I guess I can do this sh!t in my sleep.

Up until recently, I had constant, extremely bizarre, violent dreams-and in most of them I die a bizarre and often violent death.
They suddenly stopped a few months ago, and I gotta say I don't miss them. It's mentally exhausting dying the hard way pretty much daily. Sometimes more than once a night.
I still have really bizarre dreams. Really bizarre. Crazy creatures, animals, scenarios...You'd think my mind was on some sort of crazy acid trip (I've never done drugs-my head is messed up enough without that shit!) And there are still often people dying in them, but at least it's not me now-it's more like watching an elaborate movie where you watch the hero of the story buy it. Still stressful, but less stressful than it being me, LOL.

I've had the dreams of being outside without my cover (hat) and frantically trying to find one before I get busted.
I do have one that is reoccurring and that is a fight or flight situation. When I try to run I'm like in slow motion and I just can't move fast.

constantly... and so vivid

Can't find my locker, if I find my locker I can't remember the combo,
forgot my uniform shirt, forgot other safety equipment,
shooting a bad guy, bullets just drop out of the barrel, fighting a bad guy and punches don't land or affect him
actually crying because my partner died,
show up ready to work with an overtime slip, just to be told "You're retired, Go Home"....... (I'd probably work for free)
...and many more similar reoccurring dreams

Even though in October i will have been gone for four years, after 34 years I still have them frequently. The majority are anxiety ridden and focused around the last couple years towards the end when my company (Unisource) took a hard turn to the left with the everyone gets a hug each morning/if you're lazy and don't want to work you don't have to pay your bill mentality. The old-school hard work/work ethic mentality disappeared. Next thing I know I was working for young engineers and accountants with no natural leadership skills whatsoever that couldn't figure their way out of a wet paper bag yet they went to a "Leadership academy" so they jumped over ev one else, Instantaneously running the ship towards the iceberg with a new CEO at the helm🤮. After constantly being in trouble for hurting peoples feelings in a do it right or die environment and accused for making people work too hard when the shit was hitting the fan, i was done. That shit haunts me angrily in my subconscious still.

Just lost my FIL last year at 94, he had over 80 years in the IBEW and 55 years active, but he kept in contact with all his lineman buddies basically until he was almost the last one. Not sure if your situation is similar, but if you have contact with the old guard this would probably let you vent. Thanks for your service I put linemen up there with vets, first responders, police and fire.

When I did have work related dreams it had to do with stuff I procrastinated on & needed to get handled.
To address @Badchoices03 inquiry... My hot co-worker spouse came home to me every day.😍🥰
