Anyone else bothered by the number of aisle vendors at Costco constantly trying to sell you something? Right when you walk in the door there is a DirectTV guy standing there, a solar guy, a cell phone guy/girl, and it goes on and on.... I'm tired of constantly being sold to.

This scene from the movie Airplane came to mind when I was in Costco last weekend.

Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts I always kick down. They do some really good social stuff for the younger generation.

The slick-shoe salesman is a different story. Whether I own the product or not I always tell them I already have their brand of whatever they're selling. They move on real quick.

The part I hate is when I want to get in and get out and am by the food sample areas, people will stop right in the middle of the aisle, leave their cart and walk over to the vendor. Or if the food is cooking, they'll sit in the middle of aisle waiting for the next batch to come out. Get The Fuck Out Of The Way! Jeez! Wait off to the side!

They need a 10 or less line too.

Our office has a girl scout that makes the rounds each year and i always buy from her..but my will power is very VERY bad.. il run a train on a sleeve of thin mints without blinking..so i try to avoid them for my own health. lol

Exactly I'm a get in get out shopper and it fucking pisses me off that people will lose their minds and all awareness over a fucking free half a cracker in a paper cup.

I hate everything about Costco. I consider it a necessary evil.

I hate the people stopped all over the parking lot.

I hate the fact that people bring their entire family like it's an outing.

I hate waiting in the second line for somebody to check my receipt before I can get out the door.

And I mostly hate the guy that runs to the register when you're checking out to try to sell you a membership upgrade.

I think that covers it.

I have only been buying their gas at the wee hours of the AM.
I can't deal with that mess.

I want the Costco gas station attendant job when I retire from working in this coal mine.

Did you ever notice it's always the fat women that can't walk 15 feet to the cart barn and leave their cart in the middle of the parking space you want?

I love the samples too! Also, I never go if I'm in a hurry.........it's still one of the best places to "People Watch"

We are Costco junkies... Love the place. Like Shu said... You have to know when to go, where to park and how to navigate the store. Stay off the main isles, shop early or late and never on the weekends. Same with gasoline... Use the left lanes as the hoses are extra long and will reach both sides... Even my lifted truck.

It amazes me that people can't figure that out on the fuel pumps, even when they watch people do it.

I always make rude comments about the people running for the free samples. They act like they haven't eaten in weeks.

My thoughts exactly and the reason I hate those samples at the end of the aisle.

Exactly I'm a get in get out shopper and it fucking pisses me off that people will lose their minds and all awareness over a fucking free half a cracker in a paper cup.

I think those are more to keep skateboarders off the area.

I hate the fucking rumble strips that make all your shit fall out of or off of your cart. But, I guess those are everywhere. How many blind people are there any way?

I'm great at ignoring the "jump in your face" sales clowns and just keep walking. If they persist, I get a surly, don't fuck with me look going.

My biggest pet peeves are the men folk or older kids that are along for the ride and walking aimlessly with dead focus on their phones. They are like zombies.:rolleyes

As for the folks that leave their carts in the mid aisle, if I'm not pushing a cart, I do this every once in a while. I will make sure there is no purse in the cart, than just push it along and around the nearest corner out of the person's sight.....If you hang around you can witness some good panic attacks. If caught, I just put on a shocked look and claim I mistook it for mine or my wife's. As one ages, it's easy to feign mental confusion.:eek:skull

And the best part of Costco is the amount of MILF pussy on display. They always deliver something pleasant to make an Old Man's day......:thumbup::skull

Gotta say if u find going to Costco a lousy experience the rest of your life must be awsum and most likely can afford to pay someone to go to Costco for you.:D The icecream and hotdogs have always been enough for me.The wife can fill as many carts as she wants.

Like Costco, but cannot stand the food sample kiosks. People waiting for free food blocking isles and sometimes people are waiting for 10 min for a mini bagel pizza bite. Definitely don't go on Sunday, that's the worst. Seems all the people come after church for free food. All dressed up walking a without a cart standing from line to line. Grrrr

We always buy from GS outside the stores. They are making an effort instead of handing order sheet to mom & dad to take to work. T:thumbsup

They required my business to do a demo a month. Sometimes it felt like I was feeding the bears at Jellystone park. Entire families at time. Sales were always double on Demo days though so, I understand why they do it. Not only do they make more on the gross, but they also make money by charging the vendors to do demos. Our sushi caused the biggest traffic jams of all demos.

Another fun thing is too slip item's in other people's carts, then sit in the massage demo chairs and people watch.

Fun American Past Time!!!

Couple things about Costco that bug me.

* soooooo freakin crowded!
* can't get out of there 9 times out of 10 for under $400...and we go twice a month!
* the inconsistency with stocking items - we are creature of habit. They get you stoked on a product then stop carrying that product for a month- 6 months. I had a buddy that invented pancake batter in a can (batter blaster) and he sold to Costco. There regulation is that they can't be more than 25% of your sales because of the way they change and stop selling products.

Costco is one of the largest pizza chains in the country and the largest importer of wines in the country.

Our local store was shut down for a bomb scare a few years back. The store was evacuated for 5 hours and after the "bomb" was determined not to be a bomb, management contacted police in a huff demanding the store be reopened immediately because they were losing 100k and hour. Do the math, they're open 10 hours a day!

If Costco ramps some of you up like this I'll say ya'll got issues.

I go to Costco with the mind set of I'm in no hurry, it's gonna be packed so take your time and mozy around.

The free shit is a pain in the ass, most that sit and eat for free hardly ever buy a thing, it's a free lunch for their kids.

I love Costco and their C.S., sometimes they go a bit too far as in this case. Just last week, saw/heard a man at returns ask where his patio furniture came from, they ran a check on his account, they said wow it's 15 years old, he replies ya, great quality that's why I want to know where it came from so I can buy a new set or new material to replace the worn out seats etc. Costco says, no need, bring it back and we'll get you a new set, lifetime warranty or something like that. I jokingly said to print out everything I've ever bought from Costco and I'll be back ASAP.

I enjoy the new shit they carry that isn't available at normal grocery stores.

My ideas to improve the Costco experience,

Guns and amo section
Bass tank for the kids
Craft beer gardens, free samples.
RC track
Arcade
Saloon, free samples
Speed Dating, free samples
Free baby sitting
Cigar lounge, again free samples
Valet parking
Moving floor so you glide from section to section

Recently our HP all-in-one printer died. We went to Costco to buy a new one. While talking to one of the employees, he asked if we had bought the old from them. We said yes but it is well out of warranty. He said try to return it anyway, never know what will happen. So, my wife takes it back, turns out it was five and a half years old, they gave a full price refund. Can't go wrong with that.

The tire Dept is the worst.
I walk by entering the store and the employees are all fucking off, walk by 45 min later same cars on the racks employees still fucking off.

The COSTCO 6V Interstate batteries are lower capacity than the 6V Interstates you buy anyplace else.
May be cheaper but you get less.

Returns are good.
TV dept is great too.

I'm a huge Costco fan, but I do hate those rumble strips. We returned a "4 year old"Christmas tree after the lights took a shit. When we were returning it the gal starting giving us some static about the tree being 4 years old, blah blah blah. I told her that it's operating life was only 4 months because we don't leave it up year round and we expect a $500 tree to last longer than 4 months.

We get more frustrated with the people giving out the food samples and the end of each aisle.

My family won't go to Costco with me anymore I get a little irritated at the grazers blocking the aisles, MOVE ASIDE GRAZERS, SHOPPER COMING THROUGH!:thumbsup

No biggie to mebut WTF with the Wells Fargo. Sick of their "Hi, any plans today" BS..... Just STFU with the false concerns. Its too over the top

No shit! And I have to go to my Wells Fargo branch tomorrow. Is it just too rude to walk up and say "I don't want to chat. Just deposit this check". Jeez.

Is this a sign of getting old and crotchety?

I pretty much have just about every flavor and multiple cases of each if anyone wants them free of charge [emoji106]
