I just booked a week at Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah in October. Never been before, Got 110' pull through spot, full hook ups and says drive right into the dunes. I have been to Glamis a million times and im sure its smaller but looks cool.

Anybody stay there before, any advice on where to go explore? Already ordered my out of state tags for the can am.

Bring extra wheels if you have them, all kinds of stuff to break wheels on out there. dunes are tiny but fun, only camped in the general area the two times we went, both times super mellow almost no one out there except on the weekends. Its a nice base to use to hit Zion, Bryce and Duck Creek. I think you would be rather bored for a full week unless you adventure out.

It’s been a long time since we were there. 07 I think
There was a curfew of 10pm? I believe?
No riding in the park after 10.

Those staying at the dry camp corral were free to ride whenever.

No helmet laws and riding double back then too. Kids under a certain age had to have a riding safety class/cert.
Super fun riding, no where as big as Glamis but very fun exploring the area.

There’s a long ATC track through trees, clearly marked as a one way path so take note when you find it👍
There’s a petroglyphs trail up the hill a way. Get the map! They probably have them at the park you’re staying at.

Yes!
Bring the rock tires for exploring the trails so you don’t shag the paddles!
Forgot about that.

Do the Barracks trail, it's pretty cool. (about 3 miles south/west of the camp ground, on the paved road)
Also there is a one way trail on the east side of the dunes, really tight and fun. (up next the the big mountains) you can't miss it if you know it's there but remember it's one way. (north to south only).
If you head to the north side of the dunes you can go up into the pines and still be in the sand dunes.

Yes been there a few times. Really small dunes. Make sure you have dirt tires and the surrounding areas are epic and you can go for miles!

Dirt tires for sure. You can do sand hallow, torquerville falls, bar 10 and more with dirt tires. St. George is about 1 hour away. There isn’t much nearby

How is sand hallow, we were thinking of doing a pit stop on the way to St Anthony's. We're doing a zion stop instead this time

It's not the size of Glamis or Ocotillo but very beautiful. Worth the trip!

We go. Deer everyplace and they jump out in front of you on the trail so be on your game
Dunes are like mini ball bearings noticeable speed loss.

Wife volunteers at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary a few minutes away.
Interesting place to visit.

Just got back from there. Was there last October too, definitely a good month to be there.

The dunes are small, not the highlight in my opinion. However the surrounding area has lots of trails and sights. In october the change of season colors will be pretty.

My favorite trail just to the north of the dunes is the barracks trail. From belly of the dragon, it might be about a 12 or 15 mile trail (all dirt with a dozen river crossings). It basically buttons up to East Zion. We dropped in and double backed out (no loop). Made for a great day, stopped and blew up an inner tube to float down stream just to say we did, it was refreshing anyway.

I have been wanting to post up about these spots that we have enjoyed visiting but i have gotten behind. I’ll try harder in the next two weeks.

Sand hollow is really cool, dunes, dirt trails, some rock climbing, beach. There are a couple events at sand hollow in october, expect it to be busy. One is Trail Hero and usually the following week after that is the UTVTakeOver event (lots of fun).

The Torqerville Falls trail is just outside of Hurricane and it is another favorite for us to hit. The trail is only about 6 miles from the pavement but depending on if you take the high or low road in the river bottom and river crossings will extend your playtime.

WOW- Now I am super excited. Yes I first tried to find a place to camp at Sand Hollow and everything was booked so Coral Pink was our next choice.
