Looking for a linear actuator with a 24"-36" stroke. Is Lenco still the way to go?

Currently have dual pneumatic struts and one just randomly kinked on me this past trip out.

I ditched those gas struts on mine when they finally bent and then I installed two hatch actuators. Mine are made by Thomson and available through CP Performance, Hardin Marine, Marine Industries West etc.

I see a lot of boats with only one actuator but I added two for the stability. I also purchased the relay box for a clean install.

This one is about 18” of travel I believe but you can get bigger ones.

And this is the single/dual hatch relay from Hardin Marine. https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-13493-actuator-accelerator-relay.aspx

picture of open hatch??

lencos are pretty nice. they rarely require a power relay so long as you use at least 14ga wire. use a double pole, double throw momentary switch. its mainly just about find the right place and angles to mout the ram. i generally like going with a slightly longer one than i need and mount the base at the rear with the top leanong forward. it makes for a hatch that opens nice and wide.

Don't have too many on me right now but these might give you an idea.

I prefer to mount on the port side and have no issues reconfiguring the battery/perko setup. I am def looking for much more room to help with handling the anchor rode and accessing the tool box.
