Fires are getting really bad here, Here is couple of pics from last night and this morning from the the one by the Air Force Academy, this one is rumored to be set by a arson. Entire neighborhoods are going up and many more in danger. Seems like the whole front range is on fire today, There are about 4 major forest fires that are all less than 50% contained.

Local news also saying it is extremely hot and windy there as well. Not good for fighting a huge fire.

My heart goes out to all affected. They will all be in the Troost Family's prayers. We recently learned, fire is not forgiving, and not prejudice as to what is will burn. This is Horrifying to see.

This so sad to see, my heart goes out to those who have lost everything.:(

I did have to chuckle a little on this news caption though.

To see that many homes on fire at once in heart wrenching. Mike you stay safe out there, load up now and get out and first sign off trouble.

This is a direct effect of failed USFS policy that was railroaded through by "environmental" groups. Access roads have been closed to ALL motorized access and underbrush, dead and diseased trees cannot be removed in an effort to let the forest remain "natural" for the animals. I don't think the animals are thanking these extremist environmentalists right now.

Our company is in turmoil right now over this. We're the developer/owner of a place called Kissing Camels/Garden of the Gods Country Club. The entire development has apparently been evacuated, and we've been told some of the employee's have lost homes that were adjacent to the development.

Our corporate office keeps emailing us updates, and has now set up a fund for donations to help the families.

Frightening the amount of destruction that can take place. I hope they get a break soon..

It's sad I tell you but you can thank the mutha fucking tree huggers and our politicians who don't give to shits about the Forrest. All of these fires could be avoided if the Forrest were being maintain and thinned. You didn't have fires this magnitude 20 years ago.

We went through this exact scenario years ago in Big Bear, when we all got evacuated due to the Bear fire. For years they were telling us we couldn't touch a tree. After the fire they decided it was best to cut everything within 20 ft of adjacent trees... Idiots..

Sad, sad, sad...so many families will be affected. Prayers to all.
Quite familiar with this devastation. A very close friend of mine lost everything in 2007...and I mean everything, except the truck he drove to work and the clothes he was wearing that morning.
