That is going to sting adding weight to a cat where you don’t want the weight.

My opinion is that open bows and walk-throughs should be geared towards v-bottoms. I’m not a fan of having passengers in the bow of a cat at anything above wake speeds.

Also going to make it windy as hell when underway with a walk-through.

Any of the big shops can do it but I would urge you to think it over before pulling the trigger.

Good luck whichever you decide.

Leaning towards selling it and starting over with something with a little bit of room

I love the Howard Cats, they’re beautiful. I’m sure whatever you decide will look amazing.

It’s just something to think about when cutting open the hood on this style of hot rod.

Do you have pics? Hard to tell in your avatar.

Nice ride! It would be a shame to cut that beauty up imo.

I’ve done a few, typically it will be in the $10,000 neighborhood for the cut and the interior. Also figure your going to want to do the entire interior in order to match things up, unless the rest of the boat is pretty new and you can use the same interior person.

The majority of customer builder boats start out life as closed bows (molds) ... they are then made into open bows based on the buyer's needs / wants ...
