Boat is all washed up and ready for our first race of the season this weekend in Burley, Idaho! We changed the location and angle of the prop as well as moved the motor back 3". We tested the boat in February in Parker and it was a HUGE difference. She is still running the spare motor. If all goes well this weekend, We'll drop in the main SB2 for some serious M&D Performance power.

Our first race of the season was supposed to be in March, but it was cancelled the day before we were leaving. Thanks Corona....

Then the Parker race was cancelled in April. Thanks Covid....

So, without further ado, It's time to go Mudda Fuggin boat racing in Idaho!

How long of a drive is it from Havasu?
Not sure. I know from LA it's 12:30 and that's without stops. My grandpa and I might fight a Honky Tonk somewhere in Utah to break the trip up a bit tomorrow and arrive in Idaho Thursday mornin.

Pics of the race & boats to come!

Burley is a great race in an amazing venue.

Leaving Havasu 6am Friday, have a meeting in vegas at 10am then headed north to hang out and watch some racing.

I sure wish we made the drive to watch some cracker box race action.

Burley was a great race this past weekend! Our boat ran great until I rolled it in the final heat on Saturday. Luckily my rider Crackerbox Nick and I walked away uninjured. The team and I were able to get the motor drained and fired back up within a few hours. I would have went back out on Sunday, but the cap was cracked pretty bad. I am going to have my glass guy recap the whole boat.

My buddy has video of the flip. Once he gets time to edit the shit, I will post it up.

We were on the turn and the P94 started skipping out a little bit in front of us. I turned it tighter to take him on the inside. I went at just the right angle on their wake, which grabbed the boat and started slowly tilting her to the starboard side. I stepped on the gas and turned to the right to get out of it, but it kept grabbing and slowly rotating over. Finally we were completely sideways and the water hit my shoulder, then grabbed my helmet and sucked me right out of the boat. My rider saw me going and then got pitched out as well.

I've never been grabbed by a wave that bad. Now I can see how 3 of the boats that hit the dock above Fox's a few weeks ago possibly could have gotten grabbed by the waves and directed to the direction of the docks.

Cats don't have as many lives as me. I just hope I don't get taken out too soon.

Luckily someone was looking down on Nick and I Saturday as we both felt perfectly fine.
