The misdemeanor part is a bummer. Nothing will happen. Dude will be back at it tomorrow if he isn’t already.

If the broken justice system doesn’t help then why bother getting involved

But why, for gods sake, can’t people filming potential viral videos HOLD THE PHONE HORIZONTAL?
Annoying as fuck.
I 1000% agree with you, but I think this one specific guy gets a pass since he took his phone out to film with the perp underneath him haha.

The top cop in Chicago is Superintendent David Brown. He was the Chief of Police in Dallas from 2010 to 2016. Chief Brown was respected by his officers and had good relationships with the police unions and the local FOP. Crime rates in Dallas were quite a bit lower than most major cities.

When he took the job as Police Superintendent in 2020 I was really surprised. Who the hell would want that job? The POS mayor is openly hostile to the police and wants to slash the department's budget. The Cook County DA is the idiot that declined to prosecute Jussie "MAGA Country" Smollett. She has set up a revolving door for repeat criminals.

I'm surprised he has stayed on the job this long.

If you are capable of helping keep someone from getting the crap kicked out of them, or worse, why not bother getting involved.
Don’t just stand and watch from the sideline.
I do agree but about 27 years ago my best friends brother tried to stop a dude from beating the crap out of his old lady in a grocery store parking lot.
He stopped it then got shot in the back in broad daylight walking to his car and killed. Dude was never caught.
RIP Dwayne.
