Chevy shop truck ??

A buddy's. Not offering for sale, But..... whadaya think its worth?
His daley driver since new 2005 !
225k miles. 6 cyl auto, 2 WD. runs and drives excelent. new tires and wheels. All rust repaired and truck repainted a couple years back. Very clean. Its just nice.
I may buy it !

My dad has about the same year truck, lowered a little, nice wheels, pinstriped, and has around 20K miles on it. Everytime he drives it, people try to buy it off of him.

6.0 swap and a nice turbo and it will scream. I'd give him 4 or 5 for it..more if the interior isn't trashed. If you intend to leave it stock stay on the low number. Thats a diamond in a goat's ass for the LS swap crowd.

If you don't buy it and the interior isn't trashed or "base" model lmk...Depending how far it is from TX or AZ I would go get it for the low number.

The 6cyl stigma hurts the resale a bit...but really good truck. In my area, construction is going real good, which means our little area has a high demand. A truck that looks that nice, and is mechanically sound, is fetching 5k. More than my cheap ass would pay, but that's what the market is dictating here.
Side note, my friend has been hustling "work trucks". New seat cushion and cover if needed, detail and misc. repairs like leaky cooler lines...on average, doubling his money, occasionally tripling!

This in my opinion is the perfect first car for a young boy. Big and heavy, air bags, not enough room for a bunch of kids to distract them, not enough power to get them in much trouble, easily pimped out with a lowering kit, wheels and tires etc.

I have been searching for months for a long bed in white or silver. Probably get $6500 with this crazy market. $4500 2 years ago.

How bad was the rust? Coastal rust or rustbelt rust? For some reason something was telling me it's had rust by looking at the pictures, then I read the description. If it was a rustbelt truck I would say maybe $2500. If it was coastal surface rust then about $4K.

green caps on the valve stems tell me someone is anal about the truck... the part thats scares me in the rhino lining around the fenders etc...easy way to cover rust. I'm still going to be its an old man truck..likely garage kept..who knows

I use these as shop trucks. The 4.3 is just a 5.7 missing two cylinders so you can go 300K if you don't neglect the service. I cant remember if the 2004 4.3 has under the intake injection spider. If it does they need replacement every so often.

I think the 4.3 kept the "spider" until 2014. Then they made a new 4.3, looks like a baby LS3.
