Damn you gotta put the truck way deep in the water to launch there! Good numbers though!

it's way deeper on the other side, I like to slide it off and tie to the dock while I go park the truck..

with the steps in the bottom I like to deep 6 it to make sure they don't hit the bunks..

When you factor in price, I think Steve's Cheetah is going to win.

If you take price out if the equation I think it would be interesting to see which 26 hull is the most efficient.

Steve, what were your numbers on the old wildcat (496HO with Dana Headers)? If you remember WOT and speed at 4k (let's say half tanks and loaded with normal weekend boating stuff). I will post what my Ultra deck does once I get the right prop identified to compare the 2 hulls.

I think it was solid at 75 but seems that I seen 77 one perfect conditions

I don't think there is a deck boat that gets on plane as good, and get to top end as fast...

Great looking and riding boat 2ff. Never gave Cheetah much thought but you've changed that. I really like Sue's boat. Beautiful :thumbsup

Very nice boat and pretty good numbers. What would a Magic go with this power?

lets start with the cost, since it was posted first

how much is a Nordic with the same options???

Price is one variable in a true comparison.. If you want I will let an Independant write it up. :)

Or hell you can write It up?

magics run about 63 with a 496 and 68/70 with a 525...

they get on plane a lot slower

To get that much speed out of any of the other deck boat hulls requires far more horsepower.

My 26 Ultra deck (496HO stock) fully loaded (90 gallons, 3 people, coolers) did 72 before I added trim tabs. After I added tabs the best I got was 68.
Two weeks ago after adding the Dana Headers, I got 70 at 4800rpm. Should be back in the low 70's after I get the right prop.

However, if you add in price, I paid more than Steve. However I like the looks and layout of my deck the best (works best for my family), so that is why I think it is the best deck for MY family!

How about you do it, there's nothing on the Nordic website about it, doesn't even mention a 26' anything. Should be interesting, I like Nordic a lot (used to have a Rage) but also its about time Cheetah gets a little credit, that's a nice deck boat they build, and it seems to perform very well:thumbup:

Steve, your wife's new ride is beautiful

My only problem with Cheetahs is because I owned one of Bob's original "Flexi-Bottom" jet boats in the very late 60's and it sank twice due to rigging issues.:yikes
Only boat I ever rode in that if you were sitting in the back seat and hit a wave your knees might hit you in the chin ;)
That and because I used to party at his dock at Lake Arrowhead, throwing one hell of a dock party was one thing Bob excelled at :champagne::champagne:

I will however give full credit, that his product has certainly come a long way since then and extra credit that he's still building and selling boats

Years ago before she passed, I was hinting to Mom about buying an electronic compass for her to put in the motorhome. Her words to me..."Oh Honey, I don't need one of those things to know where I'm going......I just look out the windshield and there it is!"

^^^^guy that just put all new auto meter gauges in his boat :)

Some of us just aren't that concerned about how fast were going, but are refreshingly happy about the noted "generous speed readings" coming from the new auto meters :D

hard to really get it to take a set whit one hand holding the camers and one on the throttle.... ,the lake was glass and I trimmed it till it blew out the prop and it started hopping... you could trim away the hop but it scrubbed speed....
I think tunnel tabs will make it pack more air and get it off the center sponson.???????

these boats really ride good in the ruff...
