Dez center off ramp is closed. This means it's the 10 to blythe.
Then erenburg is closed about 4 miles from the end.
That detour is thru the farm roads and they are shit. If your towing you will drop a wheel off the asphalt.

Cut through 29 palms or the 40 are options.

Or go to Quartzite, a few more miles, but not much time.

So can you get on the 10 heading west off the 177 or is that closed?

So is this new as of this morning?
There was a thread a day or two ago that basically said of the four on ramps at Desert Center…only the east bound onto the 10 to Blythe and the westbound off the 10 heading to Indio were closed.
I took that to say that both of the ramps on the west side of Desert Center Road were open and the 2 on the east side were closed. Does that make sense?
Just looking for clarification.
Leaving Tuesday morning for Parker. I can go through 29 Palms, Desert Center is my preferred route.
Thanks.

Drove it yesterday.

10 East off and on ramp @ Desert Center closed.
10 West ramps are open

Mohave rd closed 4 miles south of Parker. Bouse Rd to 95 is the detour.
Heading out Wednesday and I am going to just drive to Quartzsite, since I am towing the boat back to Havasu.

Even better route for you now that you are in VC.👍
I still gawk at the views coming down the Glass Elevator 🤩.
We cut 30min off drive by moving. Leaving Friday night is no longer a stressful race

Like you, I read about the closed exit a few days ago. I drove it last night and forgot to take Eagle Mountain exit to access Rice rd. So I just went on to Erinburg.
It is only the eastbound ramps that appeared closed.
So, if Rice is preferred get off at Eagle Mntn and take frontage road to it.👍

Bridge work is between Agnes and Parker ---- still requires the scenic farm and Res housing area detour. I was fortunate to have a local guide, we maxed out at 23 mph ONCE

You can always stay on the CA side through Vidal all the way up to Parker, but again...adds a little time.
