I bought a separate Asteroids game console because that was my game of choice back in my wasteful years. Funny, it truly was like riding a bicycle.

When I was high school parents had a Pac-Man game console. After a while it would take an hour or more to go through and complete a game.

That’s not a centipede when I was working at White Sands missile base the smallest one I saw was a foot-long.

In the early 80s, I used to go down to the Korean convenience store with just 25¢ and spend hours playing Asteroids. The highest score possible was 99,999. After that it rolled over to 1.

The trick was to get the score close to the limit, then kill off your extra ships, and manage the rocks so the score ended at 99,999 when your last ship was killed in a collision. I usually had the top ten scores on the machine, all the maximum.

That 25¢ was money well spent, it kept me away from my ex-wife. She would be at home, waxing her broom and painting her nails green.

Well, I don't know if they're deadly...I can tell you they hurt like hell, and I'm not dead. We get them out here during the summer months
