Rivergames running this year? There were older threads that mentioned it.
But yes it’s this Saturday.
We won’t be in it, couldn’t find a skier willing to use my dad as their observer. So we left the boat in Havasu.
We will still go down there. I want to pick up some 75th Anniversary swag since we won’t be getting the free shirts for participating.
Thanks for posting the entry list - Boat 877 here, looking forward to being in the race for the first time since 2013.Current as of this morning.

Chuck will be ridding with Mike for the race

I saw that, yours will be my next one to listen toI did one of the Power Boat Talk Podcasts a year or two ago. Joe is really easy to chat with.
When I get a chance, I want to listen to the one with Mike and Chuck!
Home watching the live stream.Haven't gone in years to watch the race. I think the last time we went we got to watch from the queen mary and have a few drinks. Where is the best spot to watch from these days?
Most Spectators watch from the Queen Mary. You can see all the boats start at once from the beach and 45+ minutes later, you see the 1st boat/skier come across the checkered flag that is right in front of the Queen Mary. Then everyone goes and parties at the Maya Hotel.Haven't gone in years to watch the race. I think the last time we went we got to watch from the queen mary and have a few drinks. Home watching the live stream.
But if you can get on the Queen you have a shot at watching some of the start and all of the finish off the fantail.
Sometimes the cruise ship is there and sometimes it’s not.I was told the cruise ships block the view now..
They have a jumbo tron this year several drones and like eight cameras.. it will be on the beach near the start and you should be able to watch the whole race!

Apparently the Queen Mary is open this year. Haven't heard or confirmed if they are charging to watch the race though. Is this a team shirt, available?
QM open this year?
We just happen to be in California this weekend so we thought we’d go down there. Our 12yo son thinks he wants to ski race so we were going to see if we could talk to some people and get some info for the future.QM if you have no other option.
Is it better to watch from land or the QM?

Your view from the queen Mary may or not be obstructed from cruise ships. You can still see them come in. You just have to wait till they round the boats. If not boats, you can watch them come through the breakwater. Afterwards go down to tha Mayan Where the finish line is. Or as said, watch from the Mayan on the big screen. We just happen to be in California this weekend so we thought we’d go down there. The number 1 best place to watch the race is at the end of a 200’ rope!

After that onshore with the announcers and big screen
Does the race start at nine o clock still? Might take a drive to the other side of town!
Can't say what Long Beach was like this morning, but visibility in Newport wasn't good at 9:00 A.M. Hope tomorrow is clear.Race starts at 9:00 provided there’s no weather delays.
I heard that thing is so top secret Randy won’t discuss what they did to make it better than the prior boat. We will see how it works for Todd tomorrow and if it’s enough to beat Avila and his skier. I heard Todd couldn’t catch him at the worlds. And we’ll see if Avila maintains his driving style from last year.
Tim liesons (sp)? From Belgium I believe.I heard that thing is so top secret Randy won’t discuss what they did to make it better than the prior boat. His old boat is here too ( as in the picture) but don’t know what class or skier.
Anyone get the link to the live feed yet?
