Well just had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand this morning. Quick and easy. Go back in two weeks to remove the bandages and have the surgery on my right hand. Looking forward to the constant pain and numbness to be gone. Dropping stuff was getting old. 6 weeks of light duty work and I should be back to %100

Best thing I ever done. Couldn’t get through a meal without numbness holding a fork. The funny thing was my surgeon. A former Olympic pairs skater who looked exactly like 80’s era Robert Plant. :D

Mine was in the late 9o’s. Do they still do therapy after? They did hot and cold stuff then electric stimulation which pisses you off while they calibrated it.

Doctor didn’t mention physical therapy yet. Just to keep the hand elevated and slowly make a fist every 5-10 minutes

Same here. I’ve got boxes of parts to throw on my ‘57 and I can only stare at them for the moment

I believe when I had it done it was a kind of newish surgery. I did 3 weeks therapy. Maybe they figured you didn’t really need it. I do remember signing papers that I couldn’t sue them if it came back in the future. So far so good.

I should amend my so far so good comment a bit. Sometimes on long drives my hand does get numb on the wheel. Not sure if it’s tunnel related or not.
