i have used conch charters 4 times.

i will use them again.....hopefully next year.

they have pricing on the website, but you need to email them for an exact quote. their fleet is a little older then some of the big name outfits like moorings......but that comes with a bigger price tag.

the two key determining factors in the cost of a charter is the time of year you wont to go, and what size/style of boat.

the high season is winter...think novemebr thru february. weather is pleasant but being a west coast guy who like to boat in hot weather, enjoy the summer months the best.

shoulder is spring, and low season AKA hurricane season is when you will find the lowest cost.

having been there in novemebr, january, may, august i find mid april thru mid may to be the best time to be there. low hurricane risk, hotter weather. but also going in the off season its not nearly as crowded as the winter season.

there are tons of charter outfits down there, pick whatevr works the best for you,.

We've had good experiences with MarineMax, Moorings and The Catamaran Company.

Edit: If you are on FB, there are a bunch of groups that are helpful, one being 'BVI Charter Chat'.

I use this company when I do the BVI Bareboat Charter in a powerboat. They are in Nanny Cay, on Tortola.

If I charter a sailboat worldwide. I use https://www.sunsail.com/

Sounds great. Avoid hurricane season. Sailboat from Conch. Had many a great trips to bvi that way.

Thing to think about with a bare boat… they will provision for you, but at 50. It more fun to do it yoreself. We’d buy a weeks beef, poultry, whatever, freeze it and claim at customs on the way in. Cheaper and better. Leave the rolling cooler with a local. Then provision staples on Tortola. Not cheap but their meat isn’t great. Like any beach. Bring yore own.

I’ve seen a lot of bvi stories lately. Making me homesick. Jost, Foxies, Soggy, and nobody has named my favorite place. Cooper Island Beach Club. Plus the baths on virgin gorda are nearby.

My .50 cents

the rum bar at cooper is epic!

i agree provisioning is a headache.

last trip, we used multiple online vendors to deliver most of what we needed for the boat. we only had to pick up last minute items.

Thanks. They have a hard to find 37’ which is great if you are going just as one couple and a whole lot cheaper.
