I am wondering, how much weight does it actually save by going infusion? I have heard 25-50% less resin. What does that actually come out too in a boat that size?
This 28' bottom saved 55 gallons of resin @ 8.75lbs/gallonI am wondering, how much weight does it actually save by going infusion? I have heard 25-50% less resin. What does that actually come out too in a boat that size?
foam coring does not have the compression strength as balsa. Thanks for sharing the video, it's interesting to watch how the procedure is done.
It's kinda neat that in the age of vacuum bagging, carbon fiber, kevlar, and advanced resins, the best material for adding strength without a weight penalty is still end grain balsa core.
