I'm meeting up with friends for our annual camping and offroading trip today thru Sunday. This year we're going to Quartzsite. The pin drop i got show camping somewhat near burrwood rv park.

I've been on several sxs ride through this area but never camped and spent time here. What are to cool points of interest to visit?

Wow, where to begin. A group of us go there every March and can ride a full week without hitting the same trail twice.

A couple of must do's from my perspective: (note: the "corners" are centered around the intersection of HWY 95 and I-10)

Arizona Peace Trail in the Southwest corner, the Good, Bad, and Ugly is a must ride.

Make the ride to Bouse in the Northeast corner, drop into Ocotillo Lodge for a cold one and lunch. It's possible to ride to the Desert Bar from Quartzsite with a gas stop in Bouse on the way back. Makes for a full day. Preachers Pass is in the same corner as well, very cool ride.

@EPL and @TPC are well informed on the Q-town trails as well.

We'll be there the 16th.
Wife got the big book from the Visitors Information storefront that lists all the trails and sites to see. I think the storefront location recently moved.
Its been really helpful.

We camp on Plomosa RD. Outstanding. Sign in with the camp host.

Intaglios, old aviation navigation markers, mines, cisterns, lots to explore.

If you aren't street legal, West of the 95 the washes are SXS freeways. LEOS will stop you on the street if no plate.
The fake plate in my Signature works, but our SXSs are NOW street legal/insured anyway.

When the wife does one of her 22 hour sleep-a-thons, I SXS to Al's Pizza. Next to the wash, easy SXS run.
A friendly regular bunch of old jaspers and young couples at the bar eager to talk. Drunks make friends easy. I have had some interesting, amazing encounters there.
C+ pizza quality usually. Sometimes C-.

Sunset Grill was good last we ate there. May still be there, ya never know. Things in Quartzsite change by the day.
There is a super good burger place the wife loves, I can't remember the name but will find out and post it. AMAZING, inspired menu. Really good.

Don't buy diesel from the 76 Stations. You've been warned.
Buy clean diesel from the Chevrons or the truck stops next to the 10 only. Heed my take.

So we have a fun trip seeing everyone. We're all busy these days and only seem to get together a few times a year.

As far as dirtbiking there's cool points of interest to visit but no fun terrain like I've grown accustomed to at Ocotillo Wells. Heck I'd be happy with just one mud hill kicker if there was one out there.

Same with the sxs and four wheels. Cool places to visit but doest seem to have the fun terrain.

If I'm missing anything let me know.
