Is it normal on a traffic stop to just open the door and reach in like that?
If they blow by you and run at 115 in heavy traffic, I’d say it’s now a felony stop in Arkansas.

Also, if you read the description, the report says he was messing with the shifter trying to get it in gear so he could take off and she was trying to prevent him from doing that.

Ok felony stop and I didn’t read the description, I just was wondering if that was an acceptable approach from a safety perspective. I’m not anti cop, just curious if that was just a bad move. brave if the guy was trying to take off, but definitely risky.
Glad it worked out ok.

I'm going to lean towards this was a bad move. A smaller woman versus a man seated in a car, refusing to come out....... that's never going to end well. I'm also going to add in a language barrier and him having some narcotics in his system to make matters even worse.

I’ve been stopped for felony speeding over 100 mph more than once…in multiple different states.
(I dont recommend it, it gets expensive)
Never did the cop open my door or drag me from the car. Or taze me, or shoot their gun or even arrest me.

Kudos to that bystander for stopping to help. If she didn't who knows if that cop would have been overrun

With the car not pulling over when she was following him with lights and siren on that would be feeling?
Once new a kid who did that and when my car went into a ditch and rolled they dragged him out of car and beet the shit out of the kid with their clubs and charged resisting arrest, and this was in the north!

Office sadly way over her head - she was behind the situation until back up arrived - which I dont see her calling for backup until shots fired was radio'd in. Good samaritan certainly paused the situation from imrpoving. Sad the good sam was treated like that verbally from the officer - clearly out of control.

Also agree the abrupt open the door and pull him out seemed like I was missing part of the story. Massive factor in this is the language barrier that wasnt recognized by the LEO. Thankfully nobody hurt or worse.

She's fucked, so many things could have been handled better than that. She saw this skinny little dude and thought I can take him. Maybe it was the adrenalin that had her acting like that or maybe she is just one of those women that have something to prove. Whatever it was, I believe we just saw at the very least is a suspension and retraining.

ya, fuk that cholo.......he was way fuked up on some kinda speed. His behaviour on the gurney shows it well. He put a lot of innocent peoples lives at risk with his driving speeds, even blew by the leo w/o recognition of her presence. I'm surprised he even pulled over. The LEO lady definitely got some education on that one. He's just another one of "bidens border hoppers looking to make a better life". f'g bullshit. Too bad they didn't rip his limbs off and beat him w/them.

All speeding traffic stops in LA should go like that!
He was obviously reaching for something before she got to the door. Went straight to the taze and grabbed the keys. I don’t think she knew what was up until she tried to remove him.
Girl Samaritan had him in a choke hold.

When it comes physical ability, the only thing that makes female and male officers equal is when the trigger is pulled on the firearm. Nature and evolution has made females a way for a reason.

And this officer is a shitshow and should not be on the frontline solo.

If you give it a little more time that one guy will come in here and post how this should have went and what civil rights were violated.

My wife tells me to roll over every single night, multiple times a night because I snore. Never thought about her getting a Taser..,
I would suggest not letting her see this, just a thought!!

I thought she was a real badass, although a little misguided.

I bet the cops were calling the perp "Sparky" after he was subdued. He took a good fifteen buzzes from the Taser.

😁

I hope She thanked that Lady numerous times for helping her. And apologized for yelling at Her after. I get it was the heat of the moment and would of been yelling myself. But after the fact was hoping the video would of showed a thanks and sorry for yelling at you like that.
