DMV not helping I’m shocked.

Got the same thing when I bought my truck in Iowa and tried to register it here. They fought me because I didn’t have a lien holder. 🤔

We have had phone interviews with the DMV and they say they will email the info as soon as we hang up and we never hear from them

I have thought about getting a dealers license with all the crap I have. Some say its worth, others have said it's not. I believe there is also a bond that you have to post.

You have been reaching out to the Occupational Licensing dept, right?
.
I'd guess you'll likely need at least a year long lot lease to match the licensing period.

Sounds like getting credit when your young lol.

We can’t give you a credit card because you need credit. But to get credit you need to have credit. Atleast early 90s it was like this.

Type up a LOI that asks for a contingency period of 1-3 months for you to get your license and nullifies the lease if you can't get it within XXX amount of days from lease signing.

I did that back in 2000. Used an office building my dad owned at the time. Was all super easy then but I'm sure it has all changed.

I would guess that the DMV has their own rules, and that Anyone that's leasing a property, has Their Own (separate) rules as well.

The property owner would rather lease to an established business, than someone with no track record? Seems fair to me.
