Calif Fire ?

The sky right now towards the Calif Mountains as viewed from south LHC looks like a big layer a smoke. Is there a fire burning in the So Cal area?

From TCHB's post - the Eagles Lodge in Parker is on fire. That is likely the cause of the apparent smoke.

It was 3 turns away from the MX track. Olive farm is right above the 79 , around 14 miles south

My girlfriend and I got stuck in the traffic on 371 going to Idyllwild from this fire. Crazy how low those copters were flying from the Lake to the fireline.

The Calfire copter scared the shit outta me. He was landing to refuel and I was afraid my new truck was gonna get pelted by dirt/rocks from rotor wash.
