Aside from Wozencraft (Who just cancelled me), who is the go to for CA home insurance in a "fire zone". I plan on canceling Farmer's for the remainder of my polices due to their lack of loyalty.

Side note, the cancellation has nothing to do with Tanah who has been nothing but great to work with!

Mercury, I have a 4700 sf home in class 4 fire zone Near Menifee. Mercury was about $ 6000. 00 including umbrella

Allstate sent me a letter of Non Renewal after 45 years of being with them. I called the office and mother fucked them and cancelled my remaining 2 months policy. AAA gladly signed me. Fuck Allstate.

Wozencraft cancelled your home owners?

Yup, well it was Farmers to be fair. They canceled after raising my premium 150% last year and getting me to do a BS wildfire compliance certification. Well I actually didn’t get certified but I still had to pay them.

They had strict guidelines for certification, which I followed to a T. I spent a few thousand getting the house prepped. I snapped a few pics and submitted to them. They ultimately denied me and said I had to remove every other slat from a wood pergola in the backyard. They also said I couldn’t have any grass (which is maintained once a week) within five feet of the house or pergola.

California Fair Plan.

There’s nothing fair about it, but I’m pretty sure they can’t cancel you even if a fire burns down half your neighborhood.

Also bend over for the DIC policy too because the Fair Plan is fire only. You need the DIC to cover the other things like water line break, roof leak, etc. and your house contents.

Everyone still getting by on regular or high risk is in for a rude awakening when the Department of Insurance lets the rest of these clowns cancel on the rest of you and everyone is on the Fair Plan + DIC.

Watch the CA exodus begin, or at least become a problem for the other states.

If you think about it, this sounds like a devious idea to turn red states blue by forcing large quantities of blues into those states. Election anyone?

It’s not just California, we got a cancellation notice this year in Arizona for our cabin in the pines.

Bamboo was only one that would write a policy for me. The rest Claimed Fire zone. Few miles from the Beach in the Southbay.

Fuck Allstate was with them forever. Dropped me. And taking 3 months on a claim for stolen catalytic converters. Even my agent has gone down hill with them.

There is no loyalty on the part of insurance companies , when you get a renewal, go online and shop it around . Just because you’ve been with them forever , they will still F you .
