Wife and I are headed to a wedding.. Best route? Construction zones? We're just driving a truck, no RV or trailer. Need anything hauled there or back let me know.

Well the least amount of traffic would be to go straight down south through Blythe and Imperial and then hit the 8 freeway over the hill.

If you want to stop in between there and have lunch, maybe head down to Rice Road to the 10 freeway, lunch in Palm Desert and jump over the hill....74, 371, 79 to the 15.

I would take 95 to Blythe, go thru Glamis, jump on the 8 all the way to San Diego.
This way you will NOT hit any major traffic areas.

Central where ? Can you be more specific ? Times to pick up trains ?

Timing is key. 40 east, 15 south. Leave Needles at 6 am, you should then miss all the work traffic, if you set it at 70 and hard run it. I live in Carlsbad and have made the drive many times. Have fun....
