Here’s my ‘70 Buick GS. I’ve had this since 1981 when I bought it for $350 in Orange, NJ. It didn’t look quite like this back then! It’s gone through a lot of changes over the years. The way it currently sits it ran 11.77 at the track out in Phoenix. I moved to Georgia where lower elevation should knock some time off but I haven’t had a chance to run it back here. I also put a little bit bigger cam in it just for fun. This has one of my fiberglass hoods I make. I just shipped the 30th hood I’ve produced. The hood saves about 40 pounds and gives about 4 inches more clearance which helps for guys running carb spacers and a single plane intake. It’s also set up to draw cool air in from the base of the windshield, ala cowl induction. The red one is mine the others are customers cars.
I also currently make front and rear bumpers for the GS as well as working on a one piece front end. This in part explains why it’s taking me so long to get my boat back together. I have about 40 people on a waiting list for the hood.
