A good friend of mine is high up in the Houston Health Department. His number 2 guy recently left to take the Head of Food Compliance for all Bucee's. I think he 2x his salary. I didn't realize but this but they have to comply with all restaurant safety regulations as well as food production safety as well.

I travel through Tx often for business, and will stop at Buc-ees sometimes. They are great and always packed. I've heard rumors that they are expanding to AZ, but I don't know if that's true or not

Buc-ees doesn't allow over night sleeping in cars.

Yep, the previous largest store is in New Braunfels. I can't imagine how big the Tenn store is. Stopped in the Luling, TX store on I10 (between Seguin and San Antonio) a few weeks ago which is small by their standards today. It is a very busy store and they are expanding it now. Tons of new gas pumps going in. It's not on a huge piece of property, so it's going to be interesting to see what they do to the store. As I was leaving, I saw a sign at the parking lot exit that said (and I'm paraphasing) Future home of the worlds largest Buc-ees. Guess they are going to keep going bigger and bigger.

Buc eyes is a great place, each store is a little different, kind of like the Fry’s Electronics chain that is no more. Always something to see . But why, oh why do people insist on parking at one of the 3,000 pumps and go into the store and shop at their leisure instead of using the additional parking spots? There are many others who wish to buy gas for their vehicle and can’t because the pump,is blocked by an empty car.m

My daughter attends UT Austin and we make sure to make the 30 minute drive to Buc'ees. The fresh roasted pecans are my jam!

I fucking hate that with a passion. Pump and move your car. That and when a gas car is using the combo gas/diesel pump when others are empty. Where I fill up they have two of those and two high pressure diesel pumps. Two fucktards in gas cars strategically blocked all four and were inside stuffing their pie holes the other day.
