They tried to open a second place in Colorado but the city shut it down, good riddance, don't see the appeal especially with all the extra traffic👎

The appeal is the homemade BBQ, beef jerky and the fresh roasted nuts available in a family friendly environment made by employees that are being paid more than similar businesses.

All this! Had not been to one in years until just a few weeks ago stopped at one in Kentucky. I love them, bbq, home made fudge in 30-40 varieties, unbelievable selection of fresh Jerky. 200 gas pumps. What’s not to love.

Drove by the one in CO off I-25 weeks after it opened, just to see what all the fuss was about. That huge place was packed, not one parking space open, cars lined up out into the street. Never did step foot into the joint.

Reminded me of that huge Terribles Chevron off I-15 outside of Vegas in Jean, NV. I guess it’s kind of like when a new In-N-Out opens. Could see how the neighbors wouldn’t exactly be thrilled.

Overrated!

Their food is NASTY! So they have 80 packages of the same popcorn or pringles, who cares, you just need one.

I agree with OP about Maverick's. Give me a standard Maverick's over the Buc-ee ANYDAY!

I like Mavericks they are the best here in Utah, but not even close to a Buc-ee’s. It’s funny because Mavericks 35 years ago were the absolute last place you wanted to fill up at and the stores were filthy.

I like that new one off of Acoma and Sweetwater.

We went to Good Guys car show at West World in Scottsdale yesterday and we stopped at a gas station just next to it called “the thumb” and they sell Sunoco racing fuel!

We like Buc-ees but it's not too RV friendly.
It's set up to fuel, quicky shop and go, don't stick around,, get outta here.

Dunno their EV KW charging prices are, I'd be careful with that.

I did the same as I needed gas. Decided to go inside and it was like walking into Walmart with all the people in pajamas and all their junk food. Thought I'd try the brisket everyone raves about. Cheap bun and three slices of dry brisket for 10 bucks, plus a 15m wait to check out. No thanks........

I fail to understand the desire to hangout at a gas station or stop for specific ones for shopping. Customers are scummy or just interbred hillbilly fucking retarded. Even worse when the staff doesnt move the customers out the door. This why QT isn't to bad, they get their customers to pay quick and out the door quick. Getting fuel is about my limit and sometimes tough because I need diesel.

My ex gf is infatuated with Buc-ees. We made a pilgrimage to the one in MO, and one in Houston.

Cool place, and the Philly cheesesteak burritos and BBQ sandwiches are incredible. I’m not so sure I’d want to go there for gas if I needed to buy anything inside, it’s always too damn crowded to get-in-and-go.

Never been to a bucees but if your driving a gasser not too many are trailer friendly. Like loves and flying j etc.

Heck I even hate this places in a car lol to get gas because always crowded. Family gets in line for gas they all get out at the pump go in get their lunch etc pay for fuel come back 15 min later.

Normally go between Phx and oc often I like the arco off riggles rd in quartzite easy in out.

I stop at one everytime I see it but I don’t really know why lol. The BBQ is mediocre at best. But the 200 gas pumps and the cleanest bathrooms on earth are a good reason to stop. I usually just grab a fountain coke and a snickers and be gone.

Wife had on her buc ees hoodie at the 80s show at Pechanga Friday night. It was her worst nightmare come true! Everyone and I mean everyone wanted to tell her how much they love Buc-ees! She hates attention and I couldn’t stop laughing!

I rolled through a few. But the issue is people fill up at the pump and leave the car when going inside. So you could be waiting a long time if you pick the wrong lane.
