Can't remember what the other medication I tried that gave me the reactions, but I am on 75mg Ibersartan and it's been working well. Shaves about 20-25 points off my BP.

With no medication I am 143/148 over 90s with medication I am in the 120s/mid 80s...

That's what my wife uses. Fonda was 150/92 and now is 115/70. She went through the same issues as the OP, and now is happy. I think the dose is 50 mg.

My Pops who's 93 takes 1 Losartan in the morning, and 1 Amlodipine in the evening.
( he did mention a pins/ needle feeling in his fingers, bit it's infrequent / comes & go's )

He 'was' on Metoprolol as well . . . but when he went into the hospital a few months back for covid they took him off it and he never resumed when he got home.

Regarding the Metoprolol - I was messaging with his regular Dr after we got home from the hospital that they had stopped giving him Metoprolol . . . He said something about usually a patient doesn't stop taking it . . . ( there's a bit of a language barrier with his Dr. ) . . . he made it sound like you're 'wheened off of it' . . . don't quote me on this, but I was certain enough in what he was saying that we didn't start taking it again ( i give my Dad all his meds hence 'we') . . . his BP has been pretty good, since and sometimes on the low side.

Neither my Dad nor myself really liked his 'prior' Dr . . . it seemed that guy wanted to prescribe any med under the sun if you said you had the sniffles.

Pops is ususally around 145 /70-ish . . . . . I take his BP pretty frequently.

Take it at bedtime.
MFSOB hard to get up in the morning, but the head and body stops misfiring in 15 minutes.
Give up booze.

Doctor put me on Lisenopryl and got a bad cough for 3 months it was one of the side affects so I stopped and went all natural. Blood pressure under control . I don’t take anything the doctor prescribes me.

I've tried some of the ones mentioned, but now my doctor has me on Telmisartan 80mg and I like it. I don't feel any side effects.

My doctor likes it as it can help with fat loss also.

I take Benazapril for decades now with no side effects that I know of. Took others that did have side effects though. This drug works perfect for me.

I'm on a low dose Benazapril/Hctz combo. BP has been kept in check also without any recognizable side effects.

I had good success with that too. But I’ve since retired, lost a couple of pounds and moved to the Keys. No more BP meds needed now. 117/76 now. I really think getting away from the assholes at work was the best medicine. 🤣

THISSSS is the correct answer. Natural - cayenne pepper, turmeric, Celtic salt & apple cider vinegar every morning.

Assume you’ve discussed your reactions to these 3 meds with your Dr? FWIW, I’ve taken each, with no problems.

I started out on lisinopril and had a nasty dry couch . Got off that and went on losartan potassium and amlodopine. Haven't had any side effects at all with those two.
^^^^^^^^
THIS

Almost everyone I spoke to had the same reaction to lisinopril and all side effect went away when they switched to Losartan
that is what I've been on for past few years. BP went from 140/90 to 115/75

What "all natural" things work for you?
There’s a place in riverside called Clark’s nutrition and there is a guy there in Riverside it’s Iridology &Life cell services. He looks at your blood and tell you what you need to take has in natural vitamins Instead of taking prescriptions drugs. I told him what my doctor found after I had lab test done and everything he has me take has everything under control.
