There are a lot of VRBO's in town. They get sold out pretty quick. I tried asking for any rentals on FB with water and dock access. I thought maybe one of the real estate people would have something. I did not get one answer.

It is a awesome lake. If your putting your big boat in, you need to find the correct ramp. There is a shelf all around that lake. Very difficult to get in the lake. There is a deep ramp up stream. But be careful to not pack your engine full of sand coming down the river.

We did nice, very reasonable, vrbo last year.
Sadly probably won't make it this year because superchargers won't be ready.

That is the stretch of the river from the ramp to Torch Lake. Pretty, but shallow. I’ve watched several boats pack sand into their engine.

The sandbar can be fun. We take the RIB down a couple times a year.

how about on the water for boat parking

So, here's what I looked into, I also asked Bob (above) for the rental posting:
1. There ARE a few places right on the lake, however, you will not be able to tie up to a dock because lake Charlevioux is too rough and your boat would get beat against the dock. Everyone has lifts there.
2. I looked into staying on the South Arm down towards East Jordan - lot's of cool lake houses there. Had a friend's place there on the water, I remember their Formula and other boats stay up on a lift, so no-go on overnight dockage / tie-up.
3. You can pull your boat every day and they will have trailer parking off-site for the event, or at Boyne Mountain resort.
4. You can try and call Harborage Marina 2 weeks out and reserve a transient dock. I assume those will go so fast you will need to be in the know.

So - 1. Stay at Boyne mtn Resort, 2. Get a house off VRBO.

The set back at the Harborage is we rent slips there to move the season slip holders at the city. we have to move the sailboats and cruisers over there. I would not put much hope in a slip. I have had luck getting slips at Northwest in Charlevoix during the event. But you are on the other end of Lake Charlevoix. If you find a place in town, you might be able to rent a spot on the inside of the breakwall of Sommerset.

So if you dont know stay off torch lake ?
To put my 29 and 38 PQ in, I paid to use Dewit Marines launch. That worked out good. Not sure if they still do it. Once your in the lake, you are ok. It is 111 to 285 deep in the middle.

Richard Golden owned one of of those condos. He was the guy from DOC Glasses. Sexy Spec commercials. He left his poor Cig tied up all summer there.

You can find a cabin on the South Arm, in the past have left my checkmate 21 tied tied to dock with bumpers all week and never had an issue.
Maybe with the wake boats that would be a bad idea.
On Torch you are fine with boats up to 30-35 ft. The south end by the sandbar is shallow but the channel is easy to stay in. Call Dewitts and pay to use the ramp, it is good for larger boats but stay out of the grass river to lake Bellaire. Any boat over 25 ft pulls to much draft and you will hit logs.

Dewitts also rent toons and runabouts.

I keep my 22 Cobalt at Dewitts, they do a really good job.
