I know, I know it’s a Whaler. Looking for a 15 or 16 foot Whaler to leave in the Ca Delta. It would be sitting for a couple of weeks at a time sitting in the water. . Using it along side our new to us houseboat. The Daytona and or Eagle I can’t/ won’t leave in the water that long. Any inmates know of one for sale. I’m thinking 15000 or under. Thanks

Have you looked at ribs? They are pretty cool boats. I have an AB and Highfield. Super functional.

I hear you - I was just in FL and the market out there is softer. More available and 2018 - 2021 I saw a couple up for sale that were pretty cool / priced. You get more yacht tenders that swap out on a schedule most likely.

We will be going to restaurants and some waterfront bars that are 10 or more miles away. So I am thinking the Whaler 150 with a 60 hp should work. Lots of nails sticking out of the docks in the delta. Air filled pontoons would scare me. Our rescue boat on the fireboat has the hard foam. Something like that would work. Florida has cheaper prices for sure but that’s 3000 miles away.

Yeah - for your use case you want something to beat on. 10 miles is a ways you are going to want at least 17 with a little power. How many people are you trying to shuttle?

My RIB and my sons Whaler. He wanted a RIB. Crazy prices on any RIB View attachment 1465791 . I talked him into the 15 Whaler with a 60hp 4 stroke. Great boat. Shocking how well it takes the waves.
There was a smoking deal on a RIB I looked at in Grand Rapids for someone in SoCal. The market is weird on these little boats. You kind of have to just fall into the deals. If you are shopping for something everything is still high priced.

I’ve got a 2007 Montauk 150 I’m looking to move. It’s got 2150+ hours and was originally a crew chase boat. We’ve put a couple of thousand into the motor in the last several years. Seems to run fine but is high hour. I’ve got all cushions in good condition for it as well. Feel free to message me if you’re interested. Looking for $14.5k and located in SoCal.

Jus' sayin'
Around 2011 Whaler was building under other names too. Still the same quality and features go the tales.
If you can't find Whaler maybe consider that in your search.

I’m guessing with the tower it does not come with a Bimini?

Love whalers. We picked up an 80’s 17’ Montauk earlier this year that had been restored and needed final
Rigging. Just slapped a new merc 90 on it and waiting for the final button up.

Congrats on the purchase. That’ll be fun to run around the delta.

Has a 4 stroke 60 merc. Don’t really like the tower but I’m sure it was an expensive add on. Took a couple of friends from our island in the delta to a local watering hole. My 22 Daytona was a blast for me and my buddy. Made it there in like 10 minutes at 75 mph. They filled there cooler up with beer and never got to drink even 1 . This is going to be a bit different. The wife’s were like do you have to go so fast? YES.

I believe Everglades boats has, or did have Whaler lineage. But they’re all largies.
