Good morning All
Anyone have any first or second hand experience with a full body scan? Looking to get one for a family member and would like to be guided a bit. Any assistance is appreciated!

Wife and I had a CC score done in P.V. (Punta De Mita) last month. It was $350 USD.
Excellent service - and next day results.
The same hospital was advertising full body scan for around $1200 if I remember correctly.
The education bio's of the cardiac doctors that were associated with this group of hospitals is impressive (https://hospitalcmq.com/medical-services/cardiology/)

Our results were pretty good too :)

That’s an interesting option. I’m planning on doing the full body scan this year and have seen it advertised at $1200

My wife and I did a full body with Prenuvo in December. $2,500 each. Quick and easy and gave my wife some comfort as she’s damn near a hypochondriac.

I've always wondered about this. Is the scan mainly to catch tumors or what else can it see inner heart details like blockages or?

There are different modalities to image the body.

The standard is to run a full lab work up of blood and urine. What’s in your blood in Urine, is similar to what’s in your oil, after 5000 miles.

They can detect most problems, or at the very least, let you know the body is not well. Most insurance companies cover the blood work.

PET/CT scans can image tumors through out the body, but the NM contrast and the X-ray beam produce radiation, so there are trade offs.

In addition to the full MRI we’ve also done heart and lung CT scans, which are supposed to be better at seeing blockages and calcification. We were all good, but it was kicked off by my buddy getting one for OCSD and finding some major issues sub 40 years old.

Lol not just her. There are a ton of people with money doing it now. We found out about it at the Texas state fair where they had a “deal.”

Hello, I’ve used Pre Nuevo twice, in 2011 I had a scan done, they found what they thought was a fatty deposit on my right side adrenal gland ,about .5 of cm in size , fast forward 10 years to 2021, I go and get another scan done. This time the the fatty deposit is now 6 1/2 cm in size. It is now classified as a tumor, which I can’t remember the name of, my doctor sends me to a urologist, who is very nonchalant about the tumour
And doesn’t see any concerns. So he sends me to another urologist, for a second opinion , and who has more experience with this type of tumour.

The first urologist Said it was probably nothing to be concerned about, but said I’ll refer you to the other urologist, this urologist calls me and says you need surgery asap , two weeks later I’m in for surgery ,if it had burst, it would be misdiagnosed probably as appendicitis And would become life-threatening . Surgery goes well.

Two months off work for recovery and everything is good, my family doesn’t have the best of luck with cancer, this is why at the age of 49 I had the first scan done, and again at the age of 59, now, turning 62 in a couple months, I will probably go again and see if there’s any other things going on inside, as there was no symptoms whatsoever from having this.

Just my two cents .

Previously I’ve never understood why this country’s healthcare system is predicated on being reactive instead of proactive. Think of the cost savings of catching shit early instead of playing catch up.

Everyone be should be allowed a full body scan every 5 years or so.

Everyone should also be getting physicals on their birthdays without having to ask for one.

However, the fact that the medical establishment says it doesn’t agree with the practice leads me to believe that the old adage is still in play: “there’s more money to be made in prolonging the problem than fixing it”.

So much wrong with this country.

Health scams (opps, I meant scans) at the state fair...

Was it right next to the deep fried pork skins booth??

😁🤣😜
Haha they are big business these days. The CT scan was legit, but the sales tactic was pretty scammy. Damn near a timeshare pitch, and I wouldn’t recommend them. They try to guilt you into a full body or multiple full body scans. Prenuvo was wayyyyy more professional and I’m sure we’ll do it again in a few years. We both have way too much family history to ignore the risks and have the income to support it.

You are 100 percent correct.

I've actually done a bit of homework on this, after watching Chris Hemsworth series "Unlimited" series on YouTube.

His personal doctor quit his profession after realizing what you just said!!! 😱

He stared his own deal based 100 percent on preventive living. I bought his book, but haven't finished it yet.

I need to pick it up again!

Are eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, and a cup of coffee still a healthy breakfast? 🙁

I don’t post outside G&A but I’ll share my experience with this company. I will not reply on here, if anyone has questions, send a DM and I’ll answer what I know.
This company comes to the LAPD academy couple times a year .
Per our health plan: Blue Cross charges $200 ish, KP doesn’t cover, costs about $700

Why I did it: Two SWAT Officer’s a had it done , both in outstanding shape, both late 40’s. Both were found to have plaque in their arteries , which if it came loose while diving (both dive cadre), could go into their heart and kill them at depth with no chance of survival.
Another Officer found stomach cancer earlier than traditional methods and lost 10% of his stomach vs 80% of stomach had it gone via traditional detection. He was able to continue working post surgery.

Those cases made me do it as I’m friends with all of them. I dive as well. My scan detected my artery plaque would go the opposite direction diving , no issues .
I was told by the Doctor my deteriorating spinal discs caused pain in 95% of guys with my spine. I was told my core strength is why I feel no pain.

The cons:
The scan does not detect abnormalities in appendages, and the head is considered this.

The reason some med plans don’t cover this I’m told :
In trials, most that were told of problems didn’t change their ways, meaning it was a waste of money by the med plans.
From the obesity I see in the population, I concur with that

Anyways,
My experience and I will have it done again every three years .

The procedure is like an MRI, the Dr. reviews it and does a video chat with the findings explaining the results and defining the scan as you look at it.

Are you trying to reverse cac. I recently started taking nattokinase with serraptase, i buy neprinol af for that mixture. Research suggests it can reduce buildup.

Also look at ways to boost your nitric oxide in your blood. Nitric oxide is good for your blood vessels. Look for youtube videos from nathan bryan. Mouth wash, floride, antacids, etc will block the nitric oxide pathway. I tried superbeets powder, it was to messy. (Super beets website has test strips) Picked up total beet tablets and they have worked.

If you are on a statin look at getting off. It is literally making you dumb, causes dementia all for extending your life maybe 4 days. Biggest medical scam.

To complete your health you need to exercise and lift weights. Start easy and light build from there. You can do light and high reps or heavy and low reps and get similar results. Less chance of injury with lighter weights . Never to old to exercise

Lastly diet. Drop sugar, flour and vegetable oils. All poison that lead to diabetes, cancer, Parkinson's, dementia, et

Intermittent fasting. No snacks. Eat all your meals in a 4-8 hour window.

I have gone low carb, lean more to carnivore. Steak, butter, bacon, eggs.

I am down to 165. Lean and fit. Not afraid to take my shirt off at the lake any more. At 65 i walk 5-10 miles a day at work. The new guys i train call me the energizer bunny. They need to eat because they are needing food in thier stomach mid shift. Where i go all day with out eating.

There is really a lot of great information on youtube. Drs ken berry, sean omara, ekberg, chaffee, sean baker. Robert lustig, bikman are great for learning about sugar and insulin resistance.
.
Anyone can loose weight and possibly reverse medical conditions and prevent future disease. It takes the right education.

Before you have gastric bypass or a gall bladder out look in to how diet can be the cure

I recently learned about iodine. Iodine is important for glandular function. It may stop or reverse glandular abnormalities and/or cancer. Since most men will get prostate cancer i think it is important for men to look into iodine. Same for anyone concerned about thyroid or any other glands. If you have cancer follow dr orders but taking iodine my improve the outcome Below is a video worth watching

My employer used to a participate in a program where our folks would get full physicals and scans each year. It never failed, similar to LowRiver2 above, someone who was otherwise healthy always found something. The program has since went away but several people still continue to do it on their own.

Is a body scan done in a tube, like an MRI, or a "donut", like a CAT scan? Something very recent has arisen in our family, and that particular member cannot do an enclosed MRI...major claustrophobia type issues.

I have done this place twice over the course of about 5 years. Excellent process and an in depth review with a doctor to discuss all the results. I want to say the cash price is in the 1200-1400 range. Money well spent IMO.
