This is a big ass fire!
It has literally doubled in size in the last 60 seconds.. I can see the flames plain as day all the way from my house

Where is it at? We see it from Havasu Landing, it looks massive

Minikat said it was Body beach, where all the jet skis race etc
So body beach or island?
It’s definitely body beach and no structures. I have a friend in the fire dept, and he told me the fire boat is working it from the water side, but on land the plan is to let it just kind of burn itself out for now.
Security at the casino over here said that there was a homeless encampment where it started

Well, I guess that's one way to get rid of them....
Lots of homeless were down there. Only problem now is, it will probably push them back up into town.

Oh man so now you're a Havasu boater???!!! Hahahaha
Parker is closed. The city council needs to direct the police department to relocate them to the county line with "a kick in the ass and don't come back".
I’m down at a friends house at Havasu Landing for the weekend, we are doing desert stuff, we did take their pontoon to the channel yesterday

Three cardboard boxes and a tent were completely destroyed. One shopping cart sustained smoke damage. The total estimated cost to rebuild is $5.So how bad was the damage?

There have been controlled burns there in the past. However, an accidental fire in that area would be called an improvement fire (some people treat that area like a dump) [emoji107]

Little bit of house cleaning, no?. Exactly why I think it's no accident. The fire Dept just let it burn, but made sure it wouldn’t spread anywhere else.
Nice. We have friends that have a place on that side also. All sorts to explore.
From the looks of things on Google Earth, this was a way to eradicate the homeless bivouac located there. Sterilizes everything
Certainly between the careless homeless campers and moronic beach partiers, the possibilities are almost endless.Sometimes you just have to burn down the forest.
Orange County should follow this same model instead of building homes for them
Oh there are battles galore on fb over this right now.. A few liberals saying we need to build them shelters, and others saying hell no.. then there’s me saying bus em to kingman and drop them off. Lol.
Your best bet is to get rid of them, the other side of the Mexican border might be a good place to start putting them. Nothing good comes from coddling them except creating more of them.
