On my way home from Havasu. Saw a truck load of three new Yamaha boats heading into California. Guess dealers are still stocking up over the winter. 😁

Reminded me of my recent browsing online Berts Mega Mall had three model years of new inventory on some boats and side by sides. Didn’t see that in 2021 or 22.

Good news is they have rebates on the old shit to move them along.

Bad news is they gonna charge you more than the rebates in markups and other fees.

My office girl wanted to buy her son a new Suzuki 90 quad asked if I’d go and negotiate for her. Online advertised at mountain motorsports for 2700 + transportation fee. Didn’t show a dealer markup I thought that shit was over. Get there tell them we aren’t paying that shit and I’ll split the transportation charge but they need to get her out the door at 3200. That’s what she wanted to pay. Usually is grind harder but my wife doesn’t like negotiating etc and it makes her feel uncomfortable when we do it. I didn’t want to put my office girl in that place either. They come back and tell me best they can do is 4500 otd I said no and we walked I was waiting for them to come running. But they didn’t so we found a 2018 used online in the parking lot went there and negotiated it down to 1800

I drove from Havasu to Union City Tn and saved $11500 on a Rzr Pro R . Called about 12-15 dealers nearby and they all had some kind of silly fees , I69 in Tn only had 1 $115 city fee . Sometimes you gotta travel to save money .

That would be worth the drive.

I’ve got friends here that buy from I69 twice a year. They can buy a new Rzr, run it for 6 months, sell it, and be on top. Buy another and continue the cycle. That includes the flight and transport.

We still have a few dealers trying to pull the added fee crap around here. I can't fathom how they do not realize they are just alienating their existing and potential customer base. They are not moving shit right now and everyone has/is developing a long term memory regarding their antics...

Bert's preys on the low credit score buyers as well. Owner Ron does his own lending and sticks it to the people who shouldn't be buying in the first place but must have it. After the novelty wears off they realize how F-d they got.

Never understood why anyone would buy from them always seems like the high pressure closer type sales environment there.
