I'd call it a win.....they didn't have to swim to the ramp.

I've put a sunk boat on a trailer....it worked out a lot worse than that lol....i'm sure someone that was at Big River 4th of July weekend in 2010 has video of it....

We pulled a sunk boat up to the launch ramp at our park and stuck it my buddys trailer, We were able to get the boat that was full of water pretty much all the way on the the trailer, as we pulled forward we let it drain water. At some point I think we got in a hurry and pulled the trailer faster than the boat was draining and it snapped the trailer right at the bend where it starts to form the tongue. the trailer looked 100% but was 25 years old and was rusting from the inside out. I personally know that trailer had not been out of our park in 20 years and only went 200yrds. It probably would have carried my friends DCB for 20 more years.

But we found the weak link.

Getting bad shit on the trailer is a challenge.

Not sure if anyone remembers Kevin (from R&R prop shop) who parished at the enduro 5 or so years ago…I rigged that 2 piece deal back on the trailer. I was also the last one on the ramp as the sun was going down decantering the fuel out of the tank into cans. RIP

That whole page is hard to watch. Two vids down and a boat damn near runs over a family. Smh

Whats sticking out of the bottom of the boat (and no not the outboard)?
The depth finder is mounted on the transom. There is a hole in the bottom of the boat. From what I don't know. My guess would be their drunk ass hit something, and they stuffed a plastic bag into the hole with something solid inside the bag in an attempt to slow down water intrusion. Once at the dock, if they would have just stayed off the transom, they would have got it on the trailer before it sank.
