Boat Nuts ! What is it ?

OK all you boat nuts let's see who can figure out what this is.
14 foot , Hull; front tunnel , back flat , 20" transom, well built and very solid transom bottom 3" to 2+" at top
no markings or names , from the hardware I've pulled off I'm guessing early to mid 60's,
The guy I got it from said him and his brother built it , but he didn't seem to have the know how , anything is possible.

Looks like it has some of the same lines as a GW INVADER, possible it could be an early prototype.?

going kid safe....
1985 75hp merc in-line 4 should still be fun , but not radical dangerous
the kids want to put flames on it , but I think those have been so over done
I'm thinking an orange and black checkered , start with small checkered in front and fan larger as you go back.
