There’s only 1 fuel boat here, Nitro Nuts…6 top alcohol hydros and 4 or 5 top alcohol flats…last count I think there was 16 or 17 pro owtlaws, not sure of a count in pro mod

And no it’s not gonna be the last race there, at the drivers meeting last night they made the announcement that they have the contract in their hands for next year already

Once Lucas pulled out, it was over. The Good Old Days of "Fuel Boats" are gone and IMO never coming back

I have heard several times the Property is Sold OR Being Sold and everything cleared out. I am so happy and grateful for the years that was able to see the "HEY DAY" of Drag Boat Racing.

Had a ball today!! Seems like the concessions were totally overwhelmed by the crowd, only a couple spots selling food and the hot dog guy ran out at 11:00. We were starving and had to settle for a milkshake. Other than that it’s a fukn bargain at 20 bux!! Great entertainment

Yes it’s worth it, been a good show the last 2 days and will be tomorrow…only 1 fuel boat, but 5 top alcohol hydros, 6 or 7 alcohol flats, 14 pro outlaws, 8-10 pro mods and plenty of QE and PE

I think SDBA has a contract through the Finals 2023 at Firebird. But yeah, the heydays of the sport are in the past. Gone are the days or overcrowded pits and WAY over crowded grandstands and midway. Sad but nobody buys these boats anymore except to race. 40 years ago a v-drive or jet were everywhere on the water. I raced 18 seasons and saw it decline but had the most fun of my life doing it.

Place was hopping today… tons of boats, lots of good racing and even a new world record in TAH. My son and I were hanging with the InColeherent BGF team

Not a world record, just a SDBA record…Rick Allen set the new record in the country across all organizations at Bako 2 weeks ago… 4.20 @ 210mph, Declark ran 212, but didn’t have a chance to back it up….Marty ran a 4.25 and a 4.24 today for the new SDBA record

I understand you have No Clue on ANY of the details about the facility, BUT the Casino across the Street Owns Wildhorse Park Raceway Park. They have a huge display of what is planned for the area, shopping Center Restaurants, etc. in their Lobby. Going down there ONE time does not qualify as an Expert.

Just left. Great turnout and great racing. Impressive they got the turnout in boats and spectators. Pretty encouraging to see. Motivated to get mine out for the finals next year at the latest. Thanks to all the racers for keeping it going.
