Picked my 210 Hallett up about 3 summers back, had a 509 and a Blackhawk I’ve been running up till last summer when I thought I had broke the out drive..... talked to max machine and Brian at B&D about doing a once over on it, But since then it’s sat until recent months. I’ve since yanked the motor, drive, interior, gauges ext ext ext .. but glad I did the snow ball kinda lol

From there I took the boat to pats fiberglass for a repair and ended up regelling the back and fixing all the little imperfections on the boat also filled all the holes for a new set up of the exsisting 24” Dana tabs, and to re rout the exhaust out of the water. I’ll post as I go.

The trailer under the boat was junk so I also found a R&S Hallett trailer on the inner web and had that sandblasted and painted got a good deal on some new method wheels and tires.

Waaaaaaaay Coooooool to see the boat getting some LUV!!!!! It has an interesting past - I almost bought it from the original owner - he bought the blank hull from Hallett and he did the rigging - he had some very interesting hardware that he milled. Keep the posting your progress:cool:

I’d love to know more about it for sure, the boat does have a lot of cool little machined parts!

Cool setup, how was it pulling a skier up with the Blackhawk drive? I would image the dual props helped settle the boat down quite abit above the 75mph level.

Probably need a 150ft of rope to get out of the roost.

It’s was no big deal and the boat you could drive with one hand at 75 no problem

whats the exhaust plan
Moving it up towards the rub rail to get it out of the water, I don’t want any issues with reversion or water in the exhaust. Also going from imco manifolds and tails to CMI’s so I’m going to change a few things up.

Tom Masek Did the repower for me making the new combination 548” from 509”...

We used the same RPM performer heads, Tom made a cam swap to bullet, new rotating assembly from scat and Raided my pops garage for an intake and carb shop dialed me in with a 950hp Holley

We went and hit dyno it made stout torque at 3500 RPM just shy of 700 and 630 HP on pump gas with 30 degrees of timing.

Ditching all the Merc accessory’s and went to CP for a crossover power steering pump mount and pump and there stainless tank to finish it off.

Also did the Hardin stainless water pump for a long life and polished look to clean up the engine bay.

Few more parts rolled in yesterday

Got my aeromotive elimanator pump and filter, also got the pulley for my power steering pump. If all goes well I’ll have the motor all dressed up this weekend.

That's a nice car in the garage there! Take it as a major compliment from a die hard Ford guy ;)

I still have no doubt my Foxbox could destroy it!

I like her style! Looks like you're making some nice progress on the boat. I've got all my parts for my Ultra stacked up in the office and am going to start ripping into her as soon as the engine gets here in a couple weeks. It's by no means as nice a build as yours but I should be well into the 400hp range if not 500hp with an L29

Engine is looking killer!! I dig that steering crossover setup. Just a heads up tho, on my 270 I used that same raw water pump body with the npt fittings. The lower hose fitting was super close to the engine mount. Had to order the 45 deg fitting from cp to make the hose fit. Keep up the good work!

Got the motor plumbed up for the most part, need to land the motor so I can mount the oil cooler and run those lines and the fuel lines for the new pump.

Also got the boat all cleaned up and carpet stripped out, still amazes me how bad ass my floors are and that the previous owners never glued carpet down, only glue is in the gunnels.

KMy pops and brother helped me get the trim tabs all level and mounted up, pretty happy with the new location of them too! Will make for a great swim step lol

Also removed the floor........ not as bad as we thought but had to address the 1/4 fuel lines coming from the tank and add a return to the tank due to my new fuel system set up. Thankfully there was an extra bung in the tank which made it possible to not have to pull the tank Completly out.

Also got all my powdercoat back, pretty close color match too, pretty happy with that!

Also got the motor in the boat too lol little bit at a time but it’s starting to come together

Got my oil cooler in and mounted up, ran all the cooling water lines off my sea pump.

Got the fuel pump mounted and working on getting it all plumbed up.

Also got the dash all mounted with the column and new wheel! Did a dual switch one for the tabs and one for the out drive but left the two switches on the dash for the fine tune adjustment when jamming!

If all goes well I’m heading to Teague Friday to get the exhaust all finished up and full jacketed tails.

Looks great! Does that GPS screen have a backlight so it can be seen in broad daylight or will it have some sort of shade visor?

Ended up having to have a new tank made due to my Old tank not being able to work with my return style fuel system and 1/4 NTP bungs on the tank. I also had to upgrade the vent to the tank due to the old not doing enough and causing the tank to pressurize.

Thus I went to tank it in Havasu and if you haven’t been to his shop yet check it out, shop is super sanitary and he does top notch work and quick!

it looks killer. i spent most of the weekend looking at changing my set up to that. i cant wait to see this thing run

Thanks man, yea I’m not a fan of cutting into an existing harness, I’d rather take the time to do it right and tight the first time! Yea me too I’ll be at our house in Parker for a week to try and finish up the stereo and throw the drive on. I need to run up to max machine to get my drive shower and billet cap for the drive.
