Well, I’m impressed. They claim this will keep the trim looking good for up to two years. Some reviews say 6 mos, but that was horribly faded trim that sits out 24/7. It’s expensive, but three of our cars are newer and have black plastic all over them. I finally got around to painting the front bumper on my truck and decided to try this stuff while it was all apart. We bought the 15ml (small) bottle and I used about half for the trim on the super duty front bumper (6 trim pieces and a big air dam). The air dam looked the worst so I did a before/after pic of it. If it stays looking like this for 10-12 mos, I’ll be happy.

I’ve been using a product from Xtreme that they released in April i believe. It works killer but is a 4-6 months product from my experience as it’s starting to look ready for a reapply but my truck is black and sits outside 24/7 but this stuff was cheap like 15$ i think for a good sized bottle

I use boat bling conditioner sauce on these plastics. I also use it instead of armour all. Try it out. Have no idea how long it lasts but I do a quick wipe down every time I wash about once a month and keeps everything looking new. My truck is 17 years old

I’ve been using Renew Protect on my black trim for about the last 7 years with great results.
Check out the link and go to almost to the bottom of the page.

How’s it do with rain/moisture? I’ve used the typical off the shelf products on black trim and I hate the streaks I get on the paint when it gets a little damp outside.

Curious how it works on black plastic trim that’s starting to show the extrusion lines/wrinkles.

Everything I’ve tried so far does the same. Like armour all type products and silicone jellies. They look good for a day or two then go away and always have a wet feel.

I’ll post again with how well this stuff holds up, but according to the mfg it bonds to the plastic. It doesn’t feel wet at all, but I did notice that I had to wipe fingerprints away after reassembling the bumper.

...and this is the look I always wanted for the truck, way too much chrome and black plastic, so I painted the bumpers and the tailgate handle.
