Breaking bad is really good

Better call Saul is a Breaking Bad spinoff, and is also really good. This once took me a few times to get into it. It moves slower than Breaking Bad and there is a lot of character development.. I needed to binge watch about 5-6 episodes before I "got it" and then I really likes the series. There are some great tie ins with Breaking Bad, but it also stands on its own
Better Call Saul IMHO a better show than Breaking Bad, but the last season is pretty dark.

I picked up the series Justifed at a yard sale and it holds up pretty good, I really like it - it’s worth a watch. In one scene the bad guy who has a gun pointed at Raylan gets his arm chopped off with a cleaver, in Raylan’s report he stated the suspect was “disarmed”. 🤣

Anyone seen "suits"?
I stumbled onto it last week and so far is pretty good if you like lawyer stuff!
It's on Netflix about 50 min per episode and I think 9 seasons.

seen it in its entirety as it first came out (back when I had cable). it's a great show but they definitely ended it at the right time. the last 2 seasons you could tell they were running out of material.

a couple of my other favorite series are "White Collar" and "Burn Notice"

Been watching the new season of “Alone” on Netflix. The conditions they have to make it through with limited supplies always impresses me.

If you’ve watched shameless, it’s the same actor that was Lip on that show. He’s pretty much the same character on this show if you think about it. He’s really good.

Working my way through Band of Brothers. It's good, but goddamn, it's hard to watch for very long. What a shitshow that war was. Sure hope we never have to get into something like that again.

Another great bingeworthy show I saw was Banshee. If you can find it, watch it.

We cut the cord about a month ago and tough not having the DVR.
What shows are out there that would be RDP approved?
Just started Ted Lasso, seems pretty light hearted and a no brainer comedy worth the watch.

Am I the only one to see the irony in “Satellite Mike” cutting the cord😀.

Anyways, Mike, check out YouTube TV. You can get all the same channels as you did with DTV or cable AND record them in a library, just like your old DVR (in case this hasn’t already been pointed out).

We recently ditched cable and did YouTube for the NFL package. Takes some getting used to.

I think season 9 isn't on Netflix..........for some strange reason you can get it on Peacock and Prime

For those who like comedy, go back and watch the Larry Sanders show from the mid 90s. Some great comics rolled through that series and Rip Torn’s performance was worth it in and of itself.

I too see the irony, directv was an absolute cash cow of a job for me for about about 6 or 7 years. Like everything else all good things come to an end!

If you can find it, try Coupling. It's a British take on Friends, but it takes place in pub instead of a coffee house and has a lot of sexual innuendo. The first 3 seasons are pretty good, but one of the characters left and they brought in a new guy and the story line changed and it lost some of its edginess.

TV Sux and the news is terrible. There is nothing on prime time that I have any interest in watching these days.
We need a section for all of the recommendations of stuff to watch. I can't keep up with it anymore!

I've been wanting to revisit Deadwood. Tried telling someone about the show awhile back and realized I had forgotten most of it.

On season 7.
There is also a follow up Bosch Legacy.

The Americans is the first series I recommend whenever someone is looking for a new show to watch. As has been said, the ending is super good.

The Michael Connelly books Bosch is based on have been my favorites for about 20 years.
