PRESS RELEASE
Dreams do come true especially for Billy Berkenheger. After several years of planning and dreaming of some day moving his business "Krazy Kolors by Billy B" to Needles California the dream has come true. Nationally known custom painter Billy B. looks forward to a continued success with his old friends as well as future clients.
Billy and his family have been vacationing there since 1980, developing a love for the area and relationships with several business owners, city officials, Chamber of Commerce and of course locals. Billy B is the driving force behind the "Pirates Cove Boat Show" in September and the "Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show" in February.
Over the past few years Billy and his wife Janice have recognized the need for a first class storage facility in the area. After several conversations with now business partner Dirk Olsen, a Krazy Kolors customer who became a very good friend "Billy B's Arrive N Drive Storage" was born. Not wanting to be just another storage facility Billy B says "our emphasis will be on providing every aspect of service related to our customers needs", from all indoor storage, valet parking, repairs and hook ups.
Finding the right location was very important to both Dirk and Billy, and when several acres with a sizable building became available right off the freeway, they knew right away it would be perfect.
The town of needles can't wait to see those two new signs go up "Krazy Kolors by Billy B" and "Billy B's Arrive N Drive "Storage" located at I-40 and the East Broadway exit at 1200 E. Broadway.

Would be nice to have a local shop like that to do work if necessary. Right now I drag everything to Havasu

With Billy behind the wheel you know it's going to be a success. I'm wondering what kind of repairs and service they will be doing there? Is he moving his painting operation out here as well? Or is this in addition too? (I heard this was a second location?)

The way I understood it talking with Billy in September is this was a complete move and going to be his only location. Of course things could have changed since then but that info was straight from Billy himself. I wish him the best and am very envious of his move out of city life and rat race!

You are correct Drew. Billy said on FB the other day that the paint shop will be moved to Needles once everything else is set up and running. So it will remain in Upland for a little while.

House in Upland already sold Billy and Janice have bought a home on the AZ side and the CA paint shop will close sometime this year after the Needles facility is up and running.

If he is planning to bring the trailer and stay at Needles Marina, he may be SOL without a reservation.

He is planning on bringing the trailer and staying in the RV park. He already has his reservation.

I will be staying in the RV park this year also. With Wood and The Bandit.

I saw Billy there yesterday. We talked for a few minutes and I could see a glow about him, a sparkle in his eyes, he is very excited about this venture.... It looks as though Needles will be "on the map" from a different perspective...

Welcome to the tri state area Billy, I doubt the river here will ever be the same, and I'm really looking forward to that....:thumbsup

My prediction is Billy B will do awesome with this venture. Upper river is in desperate need of high quality service and storage. There is not much competition for high quality service in Needles/Bullhead, lots of competition amongst poor quality providers....

Curious why moving "that way" why not just move out of CA into AZ? From a business sense its gotta put more in your pocket being out of CA, plus with painting I'd imagine all the hoops you have to jump through with VOC's, paint booths, regulations and permits, etc.

What a cool photo. I would prolly pass out from dizziness looking at all that bling in person.

I hope he has the shop alarmed, covered with cameras, and locked up tight. The world is full of shitbag thieves.

TBI, thanks for posting the video Tour if Billy’s shop! After looking at all of those bitchin projects / works of art in the video, my guess is that Billy will say no thanks to doing my boat, but who knows. My best friend went to High School with Billy and he always spoke very highly of him and Billy’s dad was also an instrutor at my High School. I have also been to two of Billy’s annual on water shows. It would be a dream of mine for Billy to transform my boat some day. The two unanswered questions in my mind right now are: is paint the right material for my application and will Billy be interested in doing my boat. I guess those questions are just a couple
