Well at least they used grade 5 home depot bolts onto the trunk lid to couple that massive downforce. All the re-assurance anyone would need to drive their shitbox at 130mph around turn 8 at Willow!

I wonder how much slower that wing made his lap time?

Not enough downforce! With that thing you should be able to drive upsidedown...

Me being a bit of a prick...If you remove the rear bolts from the struts to the wing, would the ass end take flight, or would it act like a parachute? Also, is it that wide to possibly save the body in the event of a roll, like drifter training wheels?

Changing the angle of attack would just create drag.

Lift happens due to the shape of the top and bottom of the wing.

Wouldn't changing the angle of attack still create lift on a given wing? Just thinking of a plane flying inverted:confused:

Is the plane sucked up or blown up into the air? o_O

We got tired of the debate and went with an xtra set of landing gear. :D

That looks like one of the best/worst Saturday mornings ever:D I'm still muddling through a book I ran across in my great uncle's stuff, "Theory Of Wing Section"...Problem is, he was an engineer, I just build crap:rolleyes:

Rained Friday night and the dry lake bed turned into a lake. Had to get the Moho and trailer towed out using a backhoe. Never did get another chance to attempt the inverted landing.

Yup and I’m totally wrong about this.
TIL that angle of attack plays a much greater role than I thought.

Good article here [emoji106]

I've been trying to learn more about aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. Generation of power and thrust are relatively easy things to comprehend, but making a vessel...car, boat or plane...cut through with less resistance, kind of the dark arts.

I see the guy has a towing eye installed on the bumper. That's probably standard for him and his friends so they can get their shit boxes back home when they break down.

That's for the drive-in. He and his Bros don't have to be cramped in the car to eat. They can use that as a table and enjoy each other's company.

Not only that, but it appears to be the factory emergency recovery hook. I crack up when I see the ricers with the sheet metal style pulls on the rear of the car. Guess they don't know those were originally designed for the drag cars to be pulled from the front to the lanes.

I don’t know if it’s still true today...but there was a time when BMW and Mercedes built cars to a very high standard.

The factory tow hooks, and also the door strikers, could support the weight of the car. You could literally pull the car from a ditch using any of these [emoji106]

My guess is that those days are long gone.
