Gene Beebe shot several photos showing the damaged boat amid trees on the peninsula.
Texas Parks & Wildlife says fortunately there were no injuries after a boat slammed onto a peninsula on Lake Sam Rayburn very early Saturday morning. According to Game Warden Justin Eddins, the incident happened sometime between 1:00 and 2:00 at the end of Beachrock Drive.
Eddins said the boat is owned and was occupied by two people who live in the Golden Triangle, and also own a lake house on Rayburn.
According to Eddins, the investigation into the incident is still underway, but he said he doesn’t anticipate that any citations will be issued. The names of those involved were not released.
