You have to accept there is a degree of "The economy is gonna collapse in 18 months", except it is "The world is gonna collapse soon" here.

They will be right eventually. The west, all of us, are too soft and too self absorbed as a whole. I don't think there will be a "collapse", everyone will just roll over and take whatever comes, because resistance is too much work.

In total, 23 US Embassy staffers - all Americans, signed the July 13 cable, which was given a rush status 'given the circumstances on the ground in Kabul.' In addition to Blinken, it was sent to the Director of Policy Planning, Salman Ahmad.

Blinken received the cable and reviewed it shortly afterwards according to the report.

The cable, dated July 13, also called for the State Department to use tougher language in describing the atrocities being committed by the Taliban, one of the people said.

Simple way out for anyone that wants out. We tell the talaban to back away from town by 1 mile to allow all persons wanting to leave to do so. Failure to do so will result in the US bombing all the stuff we left there back to the stone age, and destroying all the fuel, gas, diesel, and av gas.. All that seized equipment will be useless, as what isn't totally destroyed will be without fuel to operate...AND, we'll bomb any fuel supplies coming back in. I'm pretty sure Trump would have already destroyed or re claimed weapons / vehicles/aircraft and prevented any town to town convoys.....Biden and his advisers are idiots, but when Harris takes his place it will be worse...

I agree. I think they left them for a reason. Are they loaded with outdated tech? Are they for someone to use? Will something happen if someone tries to reverse engineer? If someone uses them will it be to US advantage.

I like your plan. You know what I’m a little worried about is that supposedly there was an agreement to let Americans and allies leave. We sent the military in to assist so they will be the last to leave. When it’s just the military left, will the goat fuckers attack?

No way it would be to our advantage...the exit strategy and current cluster leads me to believe this was not intentional. The US usually only sells "last year's model" to other countries. If it comes out ever that these were American planes for USAF and were "left" there...China has some work to copy, and someone should hang for treason.
