Glass it...

Can't, at least not at this point. Our agreement with the Taliban is basically they let us leave quickly, and in exchange we don't engage them militarily. So far it's holding. By the way "we" in this situation includes many of our allies, that is a busy airport this weekend. The Taliban are close enough that they could shut down the airport at any point with tube artillery and there would be little we could do to stop them. This is the deal negotiated by Trump, he was at least smart enough or saw enough classified briefings to realize the Afghan government was useless and didn't invite them to the negotiations. The ANA folding this quick apparently was not anticipated by our top flight intel community.

...and the President is at Camp David. Soldiers are going to face some massive bloodshed, due to poor planning. The office staff and embassy should have been moved out long before they walked away from the bases...that may have helped them leave safely.

Bengahzi was a small incident in comparison :(

I realize that.
After clearing, glass it.
Wouldn’t be the first treaty we’ve broken.

My personal view is that we needed to get out of there long ago. Nation building is not our job.

Im pretty certain no matter who pulled the troops out this would have happened. Any President that didn’t want this to happen would have to leave US troops in there indefinitely. No good options.

As soon as troops were gone, this was inevitable.
Nation building is expensive. Re-defeating Islamist Cultists is even more expensivor and badder, to dumb it down for your pretzelization factory.

Taliban are in total control now. The president is stepping down at 4 pm local.

There are still 10k Americans on the ground plus whatever troops have landed to evac.

I’m going to be shocked if they let our people out. They are all about vengeance. We could have 1980 hostage crisis all over again.
I wonder how many pallets of cash this is going to cost us? What a cluster.

You get the non military types out first, so we and our allies aren't scrambling to do it now in dire circumstances.
You schedule the withdrawal during the spring/winter when the passes are closed and many of the Taliban are back in Pakistan banging their child wives.
The original schedule was extended by Jao Bi Den.
You need a president who is America First, one who turned Suleimani into bird food, instead we have chocolate chocolate chip with a side of drool.
Remember Jao Bi Den authorized millions to teach Afghans about gay rights, I guess Hunter gets that money now.
We spent 20 years and trillions for the ANA to fold and run like BobbyV from Regor.
Like BobbyV from Regor!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

There’s a reason Obama never wanted to endorse Joe Biden for President. He was 100% correct on his assessment the he would Fuck Things Up, and that was before Alzheimer’s took over!

Joe just left town for a 1 week vacation. This guy needs to be impeached. Who tf goes on vacation when possibly the worst international crisis in 50 years is about to go down?

Just learned my oldest son's brother in law is there on the ground. It was supposed to be a peaceful transition as long as we gave them back there 5k POW's. Praying it stays that way, but sounds like engagement is immanent. He's been ordered to pack 1 bag and evacuate. What a CF we are now.

Their former president has left the country. Can’t imagine how all of the troops that fought and lost buddies over there feel watching this shit show.

was at Texas road house

They hate a painting of Pat Tillman

Makes me fucking angry
Heard a week or two back that USO had started cataloging and moving a lot of items from Bagram...including Tillman's jersey from the club there. Apparently they knew it would be a shit show, and started a few months back. Murals were being painted over though :(

Anyone else see the Whitehouse tweet? The one that shows the old fart on a video conference?

They wanted to show he is in touch with commanders...
Also showed faces and names of CIA assets and locations...
National security at it's finest.

“Best President ever.”
Ironically enough, I flew into John Wayne Airport from Phoenix Friday. I counted 20 Mexican nationalist with special placards around their necks on the flight. In addition, my seat assignment was changed by AA to the back of the airplane so the nationalist family could sit together. I was told by the airline official, they did not want to separate them. My response was “good because I don’t want the covid.” I received back a blank stare. I was being truthful.

The kicker is this one family tried cutting in front of me to board the aircraft when our group number was called. I kindly told the gentleman “en este país, esperamos en fila.” Translation. In this country we wait in line. He smiled as I passed.

Point being, get use to this because we have more nationalist in route to the states and our cities. Still Don’t Care?

The president, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other top government officials are also coming under intense pressure from the media over the collapse of the Afghan government.

CNN presidential historian Douglas Brinkley said Biden must feel "humiliated" watching footage from Kabul showing the chaotic U.S. exit from the central Asian country. He added that it had been "a political disaster."
