Looking for 4 or 5 BFG KDR2’s in 35x12.5x15 or possibly two new BFG TA’s (old lightning bolts) for my hotrod. Anyone have a hook up not looking to spend 500$ each /-:

The projects or KR is still
Available but hard to find unless you go new. Frankly everything in a 15 is nearly impossible anymore. I’d like the KDR2 just because it’s available in a 35x12.5x15 i still love my lightning bolts the best but have two at 50% two at 75% and one brand new, and am looking cause the two on rear are chunking.

Ive been looking for a while now for some used KDR2’s to try them havent seen any pop up anywhere. I actually am hoping to find a set of 37x17 KDR2’s and go 37’s on my car. Im down to my last 5 35 baja t/a’s and this will probably be the last season on what i have.
BFG also just came out with 35x11.50x15 KR3’s.

There is a set of 35x17 KDR2’s on GD.com but he wants 500each.

Costco or Americas Tires have the best prices and free rotation.....as long as you put those colored letters on the inside. That lettering is f-ing ugly.

I can’t figure out if I love the colored letters, or hate them...

Toyo’s are a good tire but are super heavy, 35x15’s are like 82lbs each 35x17’s 78lbs i think the 35 baja’s are right about 60lbs. The KDR2’s are 68-70lbs in a 37x17 not sure on 35’s.

There is also someone on RDC selling 5 general x3’s 35x15’s for $900. The Generals are 75lbs.

At this point I’d go either, but prefer 15’s.
I'm coatailing your thread looking for 15's as well. Getting hard to come by theses days.
I'm not wanting to spend 4 hundy per tire. :D

I like the fan fair of the red white and blue but that will go inside.

You could run these 35's for exactly 1 million fucking dollars per tire, or so it seems lol.

I don’t think my car would get along with the 10.5’s or the 11.5’s. They just seems super narrow and i have more power than traction as it is. Really want to go 37’s but that’s a whole bigger can of worms.

For what it's worth, these tires have held up great under our testing. We thought they would be junk, but we are pretty impressed so far.

Is there financing at that price? :D

The Gallagher comedy routine “How much is the $100 tire?”

$500 motherfuckers!?!?
Hell, those Goodyear 14 ply steel are $325.

It used to be all the four wheel drive and off road magazines would suggest putting them inside because if you do heavy rock climbing and off road, they just get scraped off and all messed up. I just hate the look....a clean black wall with Armoral on it looks so good on any truck.

Usually around the Holidays the 4 fer’ 3 sales start. That’s about now.
Last year Michelin Steined us with a $50 gift card instead.

Sorry for the slight thread jack here but gotta say.
America’s tire does usually have the lowest number and free rotation, road hazard, etc.
But!
During the 4 for 3 sale.
If you drive a dually and press them for 8 tires for the price of 6...they wouldn’t do it, lol.
I asked why?
4 for 3 or 8 for 6 what’s the diff? :D

I’ve always been happy with Americas Tires, got a set of new wheels and Michelin tires when I lived in Austin 5 years ago for my truck, moved to Palm Desert, had a slow leak, didn’t have my receipt, but they looked up my cell phone number at the local Americas Tire, no problem, the leak was on the stem, they replaced all the stems and rotated the tires, no charge.

Pretty good nationwide service from them I think. I don’t always want the lowest price, on tires, nation wide service is a big deal.

The only down side to America’s Tore is they don’t do alignments.

I've got a full set of General Grabber MTs still sitting on super duty wheels in my garage. 315/75R16 (35×12.5×16) Approx 50% tread life left almost all pavement. Also in TX though. I'd almost give them away

Super happy with him
Have you been able to get ahold of any non dot’s through him?

No matter how good someone is with a knife it’s nearly impossible to cut a 16” to fit a 17” wheel. And the generals are too heavy with a thin side wall imho

Ya they are heavy tires. Im getting the same fuel economy with my new 37 Firestones. I haven't myself experienced any sidewall issues on them and know a handful of race teams that ran them for a long time with little to no issues.

Its worth mentioning that they switched away from them for faster lap times with lighter tires, but imo perfect for the weekend warrior who isn't worried about winning races. Very stout tires

Unless going up to 37 or bigger the TA etc are getting nearly impossible to find. Guy on a fb page has a decent set of 7 Projects for sale i want to say he wanted 600$ I’ll see if i can find again.

Yea no desire for the generals on my car. Unsprung weight is a mother F’r on heims etc and the sidewalks as i said are garbage in the desert. No bs I’d pass on a new set of generals for free just my personal experience etc as my car is desert only and a flat tire is never fun.
