I’m gonna be broke!
Probably still cost effective vs doing it with engineered support structures.I've noticed the crazy amount of sheer on some of the new construction around LHC right now. Cost must be ridiculous when you consider the current price per sheet.
So that's why you had to sell the RPD Ferrari lol
Cut that shit your self and save some $ don't be skeered

Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen.Don't worry. Biden said last night he wants to fight inflation by lowering prices. And America made products by Americans for Americans.![]()

What'd you do Dave, drive to California to buy winter blend fuel?
Cheetah deck boat? What are you building
Maybe in 1999. Their new stuff has turned that name aroundCheetah deck boat?
A buddy who works for a oil company in SoCal heard gas will be going up 30 cents tonight. Not sure how they gauge those numbers though.
I was just looking at the decking on my flat deck trailer and thought, Jeezus that's my trailer, I have to re-deck that thing. After seeing this it looks just fine now.2 years ago I redid the deck on a 5x8 trailer with treated lumber. $100 and I thought it was expensive. I just budgeted a 5x7 trailer with treated lumber, $250. Yikes!
Some one is building next to a friend of mine and I noticed the HUGE amount of tie-downs all over the place. I never saw that in the 70's when I was framing for my Dad.I've noticed the crazy amount of sheer on some of the new construction around LHC right now. Come to CA. You can land a plane on our new builds lol. Some one is building next to a friend of mine and I noticed the HUGE amount of tie-downs all over the place. I never saw that in the 70's when I was framing for my Dad.

Is that for your pallet racking? 42x96 w/ 2x4 cross supports…
He said he's going to do it by raising taxes on corporations.Don't worry. Biden said last night he wants to fight inflation by lowering prices. And America made products by Americans for Americans.![]()

I remember the first hold down I ever saw on a site, everyone laughed about them. Some one is building next to a friend of mine and I noticed the HUGE amount of tie-downs all over the place. I never saw that in the 70's when I was framing for my Dad.
Reminds me of when Obama was president.
Good weather and beach surcharge?A buddy who works for a oil company in SoCal heard gas will be going up 30 cents tonight. Not sure how they gauge those numbers though.

I gotta check but pretty sure it was 130-150I had Structural observation yesterday and was asking why He put 9 bars in the footing when the other Engineer for another section of wall put 4.
As far as Simpson hardware. I bought 5 pallets or so Yeats ago when Lowes put it on clearance to switch to carrying USP. 90% off. Now those column caps are $95 each. Paid like 6$. Down to just a few left along with a few boxes of hangers.
That’s insaneI gotta check but pretty sure it was 130-150
Edit 139.99
The station in Simi Valley that we fill up the wife's car at has gone up 22 cents in a week. as of yesterday premium was still lass than $5Your buddy is right.....for the week gas has gone up 48 cents and dsl up 67.

What did you pay for the 2x4's? My lanai is suppose to get final inspection today. I just put in an order from HD to build a laundry room and bathroom in the lanai. Also going to drywall the side of the park model that is in the lanai. 2x4's were $7.75, Drywall was $12.98.
Tip. I ordered everything I need online. Lumber, doors, drywall etc... All delivered (threshold) for $120. To me it is worth it. They run around the store and gather all of the supplies. Load it. Bring to my place and load it into the lanai. Could of had it delivered today, but I said Monday as I won't be here much over the next few days.

Shit didn't think of that. These are for walls, so hopefully they will be straight enough. If you have seen the quality of wood nowadays you’d rethink that online purchaseZ. We had to go through quite a bit to find straight 2x4’s..
What is a lanai?
