Apparently Lee is running late so I got to drive to Victorville. So what is the best Mexican food in Victorville?

Hit the OG Del Taco bro.! You may just find the founder Ed Hackbarth clearing your table. Last time we rolled through we sat there and BS'd with him. Nicest guy. Drives in from Newport I believe, at least 3 times a week to work the place.

So the Barstow Del Taco is the 1st Del Taco ever? Learn something new everyday. I still go to the 1st Rubios from time to time.

The one in Kenwood / Barstow is called the 1st Del Taco. The actual "first Del Taco" was located in Yermo about 10 miles east of Barstow. Building is still there. It's another taco stand.

El Tio Pepe is some of the best Mexican food in SoCal IMO. It's a regular stop for me, carnitas and the top shelf margaritas are the bomb!

That DT slams. First time there didn’t know about it and ordered my usual 6 tacos. could only eat 3 and was very painfully stuffed after that.

It's a little out of the way, but if any of you ever get the chance, stop at Domingo's in Boron. The place is a literal museum to to Edwards AFB and all the related Rocket Site and Space Shuttle stuff that has happened there over the years. The owner, Domingo Gutierrez, is super friendly and will talk your ear off about the base if you let him. On top of that, his is a great American dream story: worked hard, built a nice little business, raised a nice family, and now has a son in the US Army and a daughter in the Air Force.

Oh, the food is REALLY GOOD.

thanks for the tip. We’ll have to stop in there next time. I’ve been going that route instead of pear blossom the past couple times and have found it’s sooooo much nicer. Especially with the 58 4 lanes and mostly concrete now. Sounds like a Olace the kids would dig and grab some grub.

Watch out for those Margaritas.
I used to eat there often when I worked at Edwards. Good stuff.
Plus Dave can take the 58 back to Barstow.
