How long did you have a Baron for? I can set one of our sims up as a B58 with G-1000, if you need to stay proficient on the cheap. If you’re current you can maintain currency on our sims.
I owned the Baron (N12DK S/N TE290) for 33 years. It was like our family station wagon. When we had our house in Havasu that was how we commuted. Like you said, nothing flies like a Beechcraft. I recently received my Wright Brothers Master Pilot's Award for 50 (actually 54) years of safe aviation. I do miss the Baron!

I like to think of Steve McQueen under his racing (auto & motocross) entry name… Harvey Mushman. Dude was a man amongst men.
That reminded me of NHRA AA/FD driver Floyd Lippincott Jr.

Congratulations. That's a rare and impressive honor.

Santa Paula Airport - Back in the day, we used to play the Mountain View golf course, adjacent to the airport. Not much of a golf course. But, we’d enjoy watching the aircraft flying in and out of there. Looked like those guys were often having a better time than we were.

BTW - Anyone who has ever paddled from the bow of a smaller low profile boat realizes, just 1 paddle is the only way to go. You can paddle it right into the trailer. But, for longer ‘paddles’ . . Tow Boat US is good.

Maybe so, but they couldn't pound beers like you and your mates.

… Santa Paula airport is indeed very cool little place… I went to their open house in 2010 and shot a little video… I don’t know if it’s privately owned or publicly owned🤷🏽‍♀️

When is their open house I want to check it out?
Santa Paula airport open house is the first Sunday of every month, be sure to stop by the museum while there.
Yes, it is privately owned and also has the lowest AV-Gas prices of anywhere around the area for at least 50 miles.
A very cool old school airport with lots of antiques and homebuilts.
